Ilhan Omar Calls Out Fellow Dems for Attending Trump Inauguration

Just prior to the Trump inauguration, numerous Democrats stated they would not be attending.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) was among them, but she also called out Democrats who called Trump a “threat” for showing up.

Biden Comments on Trump

Joe Biden has been trashing Trump for years, yet when Trump arrived at the White House on January 20, 2025, Biden’s greeting was “Welcome home.”

That is an odd greeting for a man who only two weeks prior had called Trump a “genuine threat to democracy.”

Biden stated, "We've got to get back to establishing basic democratic norms. I think what he did was a genuine threat to democracy. I'm hopeful that we are beyond that."

That is tame to some of the other things that Biden has called Trump, and he is far from alone.

Kamala’s Comments on Trump

Kamala Harris has also had her fair share of insults for Donald Trump, including calling him a fascist, but I question if she even knows what the word means.

In addition to calling Trump a fascist, she stated, “I believe Donald Trump is a danger to the well-being and security of the United States of America.”

She, like other Democrats, has compared Donald Trump to Hitler, accusing him of being racist, and a lot of other “ist” and “ic” words.

I remember asking, if they really thought Trump was this big of a threat, why would they not fight to turn over the White House to him?

Omar Calls Everyone Out

You can count on one hand how many times I have agreed with Ilhan Omar, but this is actually one of them.

She went off on X regarding Democrats attending the inauguration, stating, "People are more upset at performers/artists attending Trump’s inaugural events but not upset at all the politicians who told them he was a ‘threat to democracy’ going to these events are not serious.

"Performers at least know they are there to perform and get paid, but these politicians who ran their mouth for 4 yrs and are now willing to be there and clap for him, that’s who they should be mad at. They lied to you and your criticism/anger should be rightfully directed at them.”

All she did was confirm what I have been saying for years about both sides of the aisle. This is a performance for them, as they go back behind closed doors and all slap each other on the back for creating chaos in the world. Trump is not a threat to democracy, and the White House will be handed off to someone else in four years… this is all about creating fear and chaos, which the Democrat Party thrives off.
