Jack Smith Team Staring to Lawyer Up
During the home stretch of this election season, all we kept hearing was how Donald Trump would use the office to go after his enemies.
Well, it would appear that Special Counsel Jack Smith’s office is taking heed of those warnings, as reports are surfacing that staffers on Smith’s team are starting to lock down their own counsel in fear of Kash Patel and the FBI coming after them.
Lawyer Up!
This week, Rolling Stone reported, “According to two sources with knowledge of the matter and a former Justice Department official, several attorneys and staffers who were on the special counsel’s Justice Department team, or had done work for its criminal investigations into Trump, have already sought legal counsel or retained personal lawyers — in case the former and now future president and his incoming administration follow through on his desire to probe or even prosecute his enemies.”
The report continued, "Some federal investigators, including more junior staff, have talked to attorneys and legal groups about possible ways a rejuvenated Trump Justice Department could try to make their lives hell, what precautionary measures they should take, and even how to avoid going bankrupt if the revenge probes come in full force, the sources add."

Kash Says No
When Kash Patel was chosen to run the FBI by Donald Trump, Democrats immediately went nuclear, thinking that Trump specifically chose him because he wanted him to go after his enemies.
Patel has started meeting with Senators already regarding the post, and Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) has already stated that he has had some nice assurances by Patel during the meetings.
When asked about Patel going after Trump’s enemies, Fetterman stated, "All of these interviews were off the record, so I'm not going to go into detail, but he [Patel] absolutely said, 'That's never going to happen,' and he was very forceful with that. I found out his family's origin story and immigration...I learned things about him. I never knew he was a public defender."
Fetterman also addressed Trump winning Pennsylvania, stating, "A lot of Democrats, especially in my state that I know, and I happen to love people that [voted] for Trump, and they are not fascists. I think people are going to decide who is the candidate that's going to protect and project my version of the American way of life. And that's what happened."
What is Trump Saying?
Last December, Patel created this panic among Democrats during an interview with Steve Bannon, having stated, "We will go out and find the conspirators—not just in government, but in the media. Yes, we're gonna come after the people in the media who lied about American citizens, who helped Joe Biden rig presidential elections. We're gonna come after you. Whether it's criminally or civilly, we'll figure that out."
During a recent interview with Kristen Welker, Trump was asked about this, insisting that this would only be done if they found something real, stating, "I'm not doing that unless I find something that I think is reasonable, but that's not going to be my decision.
"That's going to be Pam Bondi's decision, and, to a different extent, Kash Patel, assuming they're both there, and I think they're both going to get approved. But I—I—you know, while you ask me that, what they've done to me with weaponization is a disgrace."
I have stated before that I have zero issue with them looking into coordination between departments, especially in the hush-money case and the J6 Committee. If Patel or Pam Bondi do go after anyone, if the indictments are legitimate, it is not revenge…it is justice, and I would 100% support such an indictment, but it must be legitimate, not something that will get headlines and fizzle out like all these congressional hearings the GOP has been holding for the last two years.
