Johnson shoots down idea of Maxwell pardon

With the news of there being no Epstein client list, a lot of people are wondering how Ghislaine Maxwell was charged for child trafficking, and there has been talk of a pardon by Trump.

Speaker Johnson (R-LA) is already trying to kill that idea, openly stating that a pardon for Maxwell is not something he could or would support.

Moving up

There is new speculation that, with all the pressure on Trump, he will order that all of the Epstein files be released.

Publications seem to rely more on betting markets than anything else right now, and the markets are flying up over 50% for the first time that Trump will cave and release the files.

Trump was hoping that he could take a shortcut and have the grand jury records released, but that is getting blocked.

So, if Trump wants to quiet MAGA, he is going to have to give them something, which is likely why the betting markets are now saying that Trump is at 54% to publish the records before the end of this year.

Maxwell gets immunity

That brings us to Epstein’s buddy, Ghislaine Maxwell, who had been convicted for her role in Epstein’s pedophilia activities.

The FBI and DOJ claimed there was no client list, but few people believe that to be true, and Maxwell reportedly offered up about 100 names after she was granted limited immunity for her testimony.

Her attorney, David Oscar Markus, stated, “This was the first opportunity she’s ever been given to answer questions about what happened. The truth will come out about what happened with Mr. Epstein and she’s the person who’s answering those questions.”

There have also been reports that the reason she is doing this is that she is hoping to have Trump step in and give her a pardon.

That’s a no

Trump has been asked about giving her a pardon, and he has not ruled it out, simply saying that nobody has approached him about it yet.

Speaker Johnson (R-LA), Trump’s most powerful ally in the House, just made his feelings clear on the matter, stating, "I think 20 years was a pittance. I think she should have a life sentence, at least. I mean, think of all these unspeakable crimes.

"I mean it's hard to put into words how evil this was and that she orchestrated it and was a big part of it, at least under the criminal sanction, I think is an unforgivable thing. So again, not my decision, but I have great pause about that as any reasonable person would."

Johnson is very much a man of faith, so I am sure the allegations made him sick, and there is no way I could ever see him supporting Trump for such a move. I thought letting Adams off the hook and some of the January 6 pardons were a mistake, but I don’t see how Trump could ever recover from this pardon, if he were to grant it.
