Judge blasts administration for not providing deportation flight information

U.S. District Judge James Boasberg is not happy with the Trump administration regarding his recent demand for information regarding the deportation of more than 300 illegals to El Salvador.

The Trump administration missed a deadline set by Boasberg, and now he is preparing to drop the hammer on Trump.

Defying the Order

On Thursday, the Trump administration declined to produce the flight documentation that Boasberg had requested, which drove him right off the edge.

Boasberg called the response by the administration “woefully insufficient.”

His order continued, "To begin, the Government cannot proffer a regional ICE official to attest to Cabinet-level discussions of the state-secrets privilege; indeed, his declaration on that point, not surprisingly, is based solely on his unsubstantiated 'understand[ing].'

"By March 21, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., Defendants shall submit a sworn declaration by a person with direct involvement in the Cabinet-level discussions regarding invocation of the state-secrets privilege.”

Trump Wants Supreme Court to Step In

This injunction along with about 30 others has put Trump over the edge himself, now calling on the Supreme Court to address the issue.

Trump posted to Truth Social, "Unlawful Nationwide Injunctions by Radical Left Judges could very well lead to the destruction of our Country!" he wrote. "These people are Lunatics, who do not care, even a little bit, about the repercussions from their very dangerous and incorrect Decisions and Rulings."

He added, "If Justice Roberts and the United States Supreme Court do not fix this toxic and unprecedented situation IMMEDIATELY, our Country is in very serious trouble!"

I have talked about this before, and I believe that this duty falls to Congress, not Justice Roberts, as it is not his job to change judicial procedure or discipline judges. Who can address this is Congress, specifically the House and Senate Judiciary Committees.

And the Attacks Begin

Former White House spokesperson Andrew Bates is now using Trump’s attacks on the courts to grab some headlines.

On this point, he stated, "Radical, corrupt attacks on judges are putting our Constitution and the freedom of every single American in danger from government overreach. For the first time in history, our president and members of his party in Congress are colluding to impeach any federal judge who stops the most powerful person in the world from breaking the law.

"The president has also called for making dissent illegal, which would trample the First Amendment and threaten the fundamental right of any American to disagree with his agenda — whether it’s cutting taxes for the rich or raising the prices he falsely promised to lower."

Colluding is an awfully strong word, and I don’t believe that is what is happening here, as Republicans have actually voiced concerns over Trump’s attacks. I have even stated that one ruling does not warrant an impeachment, but if the GOP can show a serious of biased rulings, by all means, let’s review the record and remove the judges from the bench. I have long stated we now have activists on the bench, not jurists, and that is a huge problem.
