Judge tosses voter fraud case in Georgia

Attorney General Pam Bondi and her team have just made another critical mistake. The DOJ had filed a lawsuit seeking voter information in Atlanta, but the case was just tossed.

The reason… the judge ruled the case was filed in the wrong city.

The 2020 election

Donald Trump refuses to let go of the 2020 election. Trump insists that he won that election, even though every battleground state’s Republican party investigated and not a single one of them turned up enough evidence to prove that Trump won.

It is not helping the situation that the same conspiracy videos after that election are still getting repackaged as fresh content and circulated to keep Trump’s supporters whipped up.

I take a lot of heat on this for saying that Trump lost, and it is not because I don’t believe there was any fraud. There is always fraud, but the question was whether it was enough to swing the election.

I continue to ask the same question of people who insist that Trump won that election. If that were truly the case, then why haven’t people like Reps. James Comer (R-KY) and Jim Jordan (R-OH), who have had Trump’s back from the outset, ever tried to push that narrative, or are we going to claim they are RINOs now, too?

The suit

In December, the administration filed suit to get Georgia voter records.

The DOJ sued to have Georgia turn over "all used and void ballots, stubs of all ballots, signature envelopes, and corresponding envelope digital files from the 2020 General Election in Fulton County.”

Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon stated, "At this Department of Justice, we will not permit states to jeopardize the integrity and effectiveness of elections by refusing to abide by our federal elections laws.

"If states will not fulfil their duty to protect the integrity of the ballot, we will."

U.S. District Judge Ashley Royal just gave Bondi’s team another black eye, tossing the case because it was filed in the wrong court.

The suit was brought against Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in Atlanta, but that is not where his office is located. The office is in Macon, GA, so that is where the suit should have been filed.

This is similar to the administration breaking the timeline restrictions for acting US attorneys. It is a basic principle that was overlooked by this DOJ, and to be blunt, it is embarrassing.

Now, the DOJ will have to refile the case in the proper court, dragging this out even longer. I have to imagine Trump’s frustration level is going through the roof right now over these basic errors.
