Kamala Harris Lands Enormous Book Deal
The clock is ticking on the time left in office for Kamala Harris.
Everyone wants to know what her next move will be, and I can tell you… cashing in.
Making That Money
I have often stated that public office these days is less about serving the people and more about cashing in with book deals, podcasts, streaming deals, and speaking engagements.
Kamala Harris just proved my point, signing a massive book deal that is being touted as the “biggest book deal of any vice president in history.”
Harris’ last book, “The Truths We Hold” was written in 2019 and hit the New York Times bestseller list, but I question if this book will do as well with her failed presidential run and administration.
But don’t expect that to be the last of this, as Harris will likely do the speaking engagement circuit, as well as likely getting a podcast deal of some sort, and she will surely show up in the mainstream media somewhere.
Obama Cashed In
This is nothing new, as the White House has a long history of making poor people rich.
When Barack Obama came into office, he probably would have had a problem getting approved for an American Express card, but when he left office, he was being handed checks of $400,000 to stand in front of the room and spew his rhetoric.
Barack and Michelle Obama also signed a massive deal with Netflix that was estimated to be worth as much as $300 million over the course of the deal when it was announced.
Let’s also not forget their podcast deal, which was reported to be worth about $25 million when it was announced. The couple struggling to pay their bills now has an estimated net worth of about $70 million, which is exactly why Michelle wants nothing to do with another White House run.
The Clinton Cash Machine
There were no greater swindlers in White House history than Bill and Hillary Clinton.
They were literally in debt when they left the White House, but they quickly rectified that situation, with Bill immediately hitting the speaking circuit, raking in millions. I remember seeing reports of Bill being paid anywhere from $500,000 to $1 million for a single appearance.
After her failed run, Hillary did the same thing, getting paid an estimated $200,000 per engagement, raking in more than $22 million overall.
The first two years after leaving office are the prime price tags for these people, and you better believe that Kamala, Joe, and Jill will all be cashing in over the next two years before Harris makes any decision on her next move. So, like I said… it’s not about service; it’s about getting rich.
