Kemp to Host Trump Fundraiser After Feud Ended

One of the bigger stories last week was the reversal in the long-running feud between Donald Trump and Georgia Governor Brian Kemp.

The two men buried the hatchet, which was very good news for Trump, and it is already paying off for him.

This week, Kemp announced that he would be hosting a fundraiser for Trump in Atlanta.

Get That Money

Trump needs money, and a lot of it.

He has been lagging behind Democrats this entire race, largely due to the fact his legal problems are eating away at huge chunks of campaign cash.

After Harris was named the candidate, she just about broke the bank by landing all that money that had been sitting on the sidelines from donors who wanted Biden out of the race.

Trump has suddenly realized that he cannot win this race with just MAGA and he is going to need every Republican to get behind him, so he mended the fence with Governor Kemp.

Kemp held no grudges and has since announced that he will be hosting a fundraiser in Atlanta with his wife, Marty Kemp, and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

The mending of the fences between these two was shocking, to say the least, because only a few weeks ago, Trump again unloaded on Kemp.

During a campaign rally in early August, Trump told his supporters, "He's a bad guy, he is a disloyal guy, and he's a very average governor. Little Brian. Little Brian Kemp. Bad guy…and all he had to do is sign something where the senate would like to look at election integrity

"Think of the wife. 'We can never repay you for what you've done, sir. We could've never won.' And now she said, two weeks ago, that 'I will not endorse him because he hasn't earned my endorsement.' I haven't earned her endorsement? I have nothing to do with her.”

I have to admit, if I were Kemp, I would have packed it in, but he is putting party over everything else, and after Kemp and Trump buried the hatchet, Trump posted, "Thank you to #BrianKempGA for all of your help and support in Georgia, where a win is so important to the success of our Party and, most importantly, our Country.”

There is apparently real excitement in Georgia now over these two joining forces, with one source stating, "There is a lot of excitement in Georgia knowing that President Trump and Gov. Kemp have agreed to work together as they have in the past to achieve victories that are important for the future of the country and the future of Georgians.”

Trump has a small lead over Harris in Georgia, but he has created some distance in more recent polling, and I am sure making up with Kemp has something to do with that.

Even though MAGA will probably push back, Trump also needs to mend the fences with Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis if he wants to win this election.

With Harris in there, he needs every single vote on the right, and he simply does not have them yet, and a lot of the holdouts remain DeSantis and Haley supporters.
