KJP Blocks Real News Updates for Her Farewell Party

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre had been an utter disaster since the first day she took the dais.

On her final day holding a press briefing, she decided to hold back on real news so she could hog the microphone for her farewell party.

Not Happening

The media, rightfully, was hoping to get an update on the cease-fire deal from those directly involved in the negotiations.

However, there has been friction between the man who would have delivered that message, John Kirby, and KJP almost from the first day that KJP took over as Press Secretary.

Instead of giving the update, KJP deflected to a briefing call held by the National Security Adviser’s office.

One person, who did not give their name, explained it as “She basically said it was her goodbye party. She kinda marketed it as a celebration of her and her tenure and unfortunately that took precedence over huge breaking news — and we haven’t had this kind of news in this administration for a long time.”

No Credit for Trump

One question that KJP did answer on the subject was her refusal to give Donald Trump any credit in the process.

She explained her resistance saying the deal was primarily worked on by the Biden administration, and they were the ones pushing this deal since the summer.

What she failed to mention, however, was that Jake Sullivan and John Kirby had both already given Trump some credit for helping to get this deal over the line.

Not only that, but Israel and Hamas cited Trump’s role, making it sound as though it was Trump’s influence that was the deciding factor, not Biden. From the reports I have read, Hamas felt like they would not get any better deal from Trump than what was on the table, and Trump made that clear, so they signed the deal.

Media Upset

While the halls outside the briefing room were lined with current and former communications staffers to applaud KJP on her way out the door, journalists in the room were not happy.

One irate journalist stated, “I thought at the last minute she would just break and say, ‘OK, fine, [Kirby] can just come at the top and he can leave, and then I can wax poetic about my time here, and then I don’t really even have to answer any questions and be grilled on anything.'”

This also did not sit well with some inside the Biden camp, with one aide stating, “Not allowing actual news to be delivered from the podium on such an important day for the president and the world for your own ego is disgraceful. I am not sure there is someone that did more damage to the president’s reputation than her — it is really sad.”

Keep in mind, these are the same people who celebrated her for being the first openly LGBTQ+ member to hold this post. She has been a complete and utter disaster, lying to the American people every day, but sadly, the reality of this is that she will likely get a 7-figure deal with a mainstream media outlet to continue to spew her rhetoric.
