Kushner Confirms Ivanka Will Not Campaign for Her Father
Jared Kushner dropped a bit of a bombshell on the Donald Trump presidential campaign this week.
Kushner informed the media that there is “zero chance” that we will see Ivanka on the campaign trail for her father.
The Gender Gap
There are several key factors to winning this election, but the one that is quickly rising to the top of the list is the gender gap.
Trump is dominating among male voters right now, with a recent poll showing Trump at +20 among men. However, he is -16 with women voters, and that is a problem.
The only good news for Trump on this front is that he is +4 overall, faring far better than Harris on this front, who simply cannot get a grip on male voters. If Trump could move this needle just one more point, it would be huge in a race that is about as tight as it gets.
Major Blow
A great way to battle this gender gap would be for Melania and Ivanka Trump to be out on the trail for Trump. These are the two most important women in his life, and it would be nice for them to show their faces.
Melania, who is adored by conservatives, has been absent since Trump left the White House in 2021. However, she has recently started doing media again to promote her new book, but that is not campaigning.
Melania has only done a handful of events, as well as the RNC, but that was it. That changed last week when Melania made a surprise appearance during Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally in New York City.
If only Trump could get Ivanka to make an appearance, it would possibly give him that one—or two-point nudge that he needs. That does not appear to be happening, however.
Jared Kushner, Ivanka’s husband, broke the news this week that there is “zero chance” we will see his wife on the campaign trail.
He stated, “[Ivanka] made the decision when she left Washington that she was closing that chapter of her life. And she’s been remarkably consistent.”
She has held true to her word after leaving office, saying last year, “I love my father very much. This time around I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics.
“While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena.”
Can Trump Still Win?
As I noted above, such a major gender gap would normally be a problem, but Trump is running against Harris, who is underperforming with women while getting clobbered with men. Rather than do something to attract male voters, she has resorted to shaming them, which is clearly not working. So, to answer that question, not only can Trump win, but there is also a very good chance he has an electoral landslide. I plan on putting out my prediction on Monday, so stay tuned.
