Leftist streamer receives suspension over ‘false flag’ comments

Popular left-wing streamer Hasan Piker had his Twitch account temporarily suspended for “false flag” comments he made about the recent shooting at the Jewish Museum in DC.

This was far less punishment than we have seen dished out to conservatives who have made similar claims, which has the entire right outraged.

Sandy Hook and Alex Jones

Before I get into this, I want to make it clear that I am not defending Alex Jones in any way, shape, or form.

His comments about Sandy Hook were reprehensible, and he deserved everything he got, in my opinion, but his comments about this incident are about as close as you can get to what Piker said about the museum shooting. Some of the comments made by Jones about Sandy Hook at the time were:

“You’ve got parents laughing — ‘hahaha’ — and then they walk over to the camera and go ‘boo hoo hoo,’ and not just one but a bunch of parents doing this and then photos of kids that are still alive they said died? I mean, they think we’re so dumb.”

“Why did Hitler blow up the Reichstag — to get control! Why do governments stage these things — to get our guns! Why can’t people get that through their head?”

Lost the appeal

Those are just a few of the comments made by Jones on the matter, as he was clear that he thought the shooting was “as phony as a $3 bill.”

The matter was litigated, and while Jones eventually retracted his statements, his conspiracy theory would cost him everything, and I mean EVERYTHING.

He lost the initial case, then he lost his appeal, with the appellate court holding up nearly all of the $1.3 billion defamation verdict.

After the ruling came down, Alinor Sterling, an attorney for the families, stated, "The jury's $965 million rebuke of Jones will stand, and the families who have fought valiantly for years have brought Alex Jones yet another step closer to true justice.”

False Flags

This brings us to Piker, who, after the murders were revealed, stated, “You could not have designed a better false flag incident like this. I’m not saying it is a false flag incident at all… I think this is just one dude who is genuine in his actions and maybe a little bit brain broken.”

His comments were eerily similar to those made by Jones after Sandy Hook, but all he got was a 24-hour slap on the wrist by Twitch for “Improper Handling of Terrorist Propaganda” and “Sharing content related to terrorist or violent extremist groups.”

He claimed he had only done a “critical examination” of the incident, again, much like Jones was claiming. He later added, “I believe this is a bad policy for news and press freedom.”

You guys know I hate conspiracy theories, but they can be harmless in certain areas. Murders, such as this, are not one of them, and I would love to know why Piker is being treated with kid gloves when the entire house was thrown at Alex Jones. Where is the justice for the families of those two victims?
