Mamdani taking fire after NYPD video released

New York City Democrat mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani stunned everyone by defeating former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo in the Democratic primary.

Before that, he was not getting much attention on the national scale, but we sure are paying attention now.

Yet another controversial item from Mamdani’s past has surfaced, and this one has people on both sides of the aisle concerned.

One Big Commune

One of the crazier propositions from Mamdani has been to turn New York City into a big commune.

He has suggested that the city take over grocery stores, and all public transportation is free, just to name a few.

Now he is suggesting that the city also buy up homes that go on the market to develop city-wide communes, arguing that real estate should not be an open market.

He stated, "[It's] not efficient or beneficial for the rest of society. Housing doesn't have to be seen as a market at all."

Cosplaying

Stop Antisemitism went ballistic earlier this month when a video that Mandani reposted on X resurfaced.

The group stated, "Zohran Mamdani posts Indian men cosplaying Jews, spinning dreidels and lighting the menorah.

"Our holidays and traditions are sacred and not for your comedic pleasure, Zohran Mamdani – this is sick.”

Why the Democrat Party or media are not coming after him on this front is baffling to me, but I suspect Mandani is already losing support as more information is made available about him mocking the very communities that supported him in the primary race.

Don’t Call the Cops

Some of the most dangerous calls taken by police are domestic violence cases, but Mandani believes that when these calls are made, they should no longer go to police.

He stated, “If somebody is surviving, going through domestic violence – there are so many different, different situations that would far better be handled by people trained to deal with those specific situations as opposed to an individual with a gun who has received quite a limited amount of training in general, but also in regards to these specific situations.”

He added, “We find so many people who are having a mental breakdown, or people who are just trying to sleep on the train, or people who are just suffering through something in their lives. And instead of receiving a helping hand they were shot, they were Tased, they were killed.”

Do you know why that happens? Generally, because the person is armed, has hurt, or is threatening to hurt someone else. All Mamdani’s solution would do is put more people at risk.
