Nadler says ICE ‘hiding misbehavior’

I remain astounded at the lengths Democrats will go to paint Republicans and ICE agents in a bad light over the enforcement of our immigration laws.

The latest smear comes from Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.), who is implying that since agents often wear face coverings during raids, they must be hiding “misbehavior.” 

The Gestapo 

This assault against ICE has been ongoing, but Democrats have really kicked it up a notch as of late.  

For instance, during a recent commencement address, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz likened them to the Nazis.  

He stated, "And I'm going to start with the flashing red light. Donald Trump's modern-day Gestapo is scooping folks up off the streets. They're in unmarked vans, wearing masks, being shipped off to foreign torture dungeons, no chance to mount a defense, not even a chance to kiss a loved one goodbye, just grabbed up by masked agents, shoved into those vans and disappeared. 

“To be clear, there's no way for us to know whether they were actually criminals or not because they refused to give them a trial." 

AOC Fundraising  

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) is another one who has been after ICE since nearly her first day in office. 

She has always believed the origination of ICE back in 2003 by the Bush administration as part of the response to 9/11 has always been illegal.  

With ICE raids in the news just about every day now, she is fundraising off the idea of abolishing ICE, writing, "I believe that ICE, an agency that was just formed in 2003 during the Patriot Act era, is a rogue agency that should not exist.” 

NRCC Spokesman Mike Marinella responded, "House Democrat Minority Leader AOC is doubling down on their party’s most extreme, unhinged agenda, while the rest of her party is bending their knee to the radical wing. At this rate, the Democrat platform in 2026 will be a fever dream of defunding the police, wide open borders, and far-left hellscapes.” 

Now It’s Nadler’s Time 

During the Georgy Floyd riots, Democrats appeared to have no problem with rioters having their faces covered, but when ICE agents do it to protect their identities so they are not attacked in public, he is outraged. 

To that point, Nadler stated, “These people are wearing masks and are totally unidentified. The only question is why. It’s completely improper, and again one has to assume they’re hiding something or they’re hiding misbehavior because otherwise why would they be wearing masks and denying their identities?” 

This is quite common, actually, as we have seen agents use these coverings as well as special forces operators, which is done to protect their identity to protect both the agent and their families from nefarious actors looking to get some revenge. They do, however, clearly identify themselves, as DHS has noted numerous times, while also stating, “Congressman Nadler’s accusation that our ICE officers are ‘hiding misbehavior’ is DESPICABLE.” 

Nadler’s comments are only meant to enrage the liberal horde, as though ICE is doing something wrong. They make these objections now, yet they never made them when Obama was in office or when Biden was in office. They are literally going to get someone killed... then they will pretend their words had no influence.
