Navarro looks to quash alleged feud with Elon Musk

Over the last few weeks, Trump’s key financial adviser, Peter Navarro, and Elon Musk have been publicly jousting.

It would appear that Navarro is now looking to quash the alleged feud, but not until Musk landed a few gut shots against him.

Navarro draws first blood

Elon was not supporting Trump’s tariffs, and Navarro made it sound like Elon really had no clue what he was talking about.

I don’t think that would have really rattled Musk, but when Navarro started questioning how Elon conducts his business, well, Musk had enough.

Navarro had stated, "We all understand in the White House, and the American people understand, that Elon's a car manufacturer, but he's not a car manufacturer. He's a car assembler, in many cases.”

He continued, "The difference is, in our thinking and Elon's on this, is that we want the tires made in Akron. We want the transmissions made in Indianapolis. We want the engines made in Flint and Saginaw. And we want the cars manufactured here.”

Musk strikes back

Musk immediately responded, posting, "Navarro is truly a moron. What he says here is demonstrably false.”

Musk then added a second post, stating, "Tesla has the most American-made cars. Navarro is dumber than a sack of bricks.”

This little feud started to grow a life of its own, and Musk was not backing down on X, landing a few more shots against Navarro.

Meanwhile, Navarro and the White House had enough, trying to douse this flame before it burned out of control.

Boys will be boys

When the White House was asked about the feud, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated, "No, look, these are obviously two individuals who have very different views on trade and on tariffs. Boys will be boys, and we will let their public sparring continue. And you guys should all be very grateful that we have the most transparent administration in history."

Navarro then did the Sunday morning media circuit, where he responded, "First of all, Elon and I are great. It’s not an issue.”

He later added, "Everything’s fine with Elon. And look, Elon is doing a very good job with his team, with waste, fraud and abuse. That’s a tremendous contribution to America. And no man doing that kind of thing should be subject to having his cars firebombed by crazies."

I don’t believe him for a second, as I doubt Musk and Navarro have this type of relationship where they can trade barbs like old buddies and laugh it off. Having said that, Navarro is clearly trying to quash this beef, and I hope Musk takes the same hint. This is not good for business in any way, shape, or form, so let’s get back to business and stop the childish arguments online. If you want to yell at him, pick up the phone and talk to him rather than doing it out in the open on X.
