NC Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson hospitalized following burn incident

The campaign of President Donald Trump was left in SHOCK by events that occurred after a North Carolina political event.

North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson was rushed to the hospital after suffering second-degree burns on his hand at one of his own campaign appearances.

The news brought Robinson's name back in the news after a notable recent scandal, and it again highlighted the fact that Trump had endorsed Robinson in the past.

Regardless of what you think about Robinson's alleged online posts, it's safe to say we should be hoping he isn't burned too badly.

A reporter from the Washington Post, Amy Gardner, shared the events that occurred that day.

Gardner posted on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

“Mark Robinson attended a truck show in Mt Airy NC tonight. He burned his hand leaning against a truck and was taken to the hospital. I’m told by an official source that he is fine and home now,” Gardner wrote in her social media post.

Since the incident, Robinson’s campaign communications director, Mike Lonergan, has released a statement.

“This evening following an incident at a campaign appearance at the Mayberry Truck Show in Mt. Airy, Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson was treated at Northern Regional Hospital for second-degree burns. He is in good spirits, appreciates the outpouring of well wishes, and is excited to return to the campaign trail as scheduled first thing tomorrow morning,” Lonergan said.

Robinson is currently facing several brutal smear campaigns stemming from allegations about his online posting history and has already been having a difficult time lately.

While Lonergan has said the claims are “either an outright lie or twisted so far out of context it might as well be,” it does not make things any easier on Robinson when it comes to having to face the world.

No matter how you feel about Robinson’s political views, you must admit it is good to know he is doing okay.

Burns are terrifying, and recovery can take years.

We are glad that Robinson sought medical assistance and received treatment for his injuries.

We hope that his burns recover swiftly, but whether or not his political career is able to do the same remains to be seen.
