NY Mayor Adams Indicted in Corruption Scandal

After months of insisting the raids and investigation into Adams’ officials had nothing to do with his office, a bombshell rocked the Democrat Mayor on Wednesday.

Reports broke that New York City Mayor Eric Adams has been indicted.

The indictment centers around foreign donations to his campaign as well as manipulating the public funds match program.

Another Crooked Democrat

Since the outset of these raids, it has been suspected that Turkish money was being used in Adams’ campaign.

Adams is believed to have been manipulating the matching public funds program by inflating donation numbers, which were boosted by the Turkish funds donated to his campaign.

The indictment states, “As Adams’s prominence and power grew, his foreign-national benefactors sought to cash in on their corrupt relationships with him, particularly when, in 2021, it became clear that Adams would become New York City’s mayor.”

He has been charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud, federal program bribery and to receive contributions by foreign nationals, wire fraud, two counts of solicitation of a contribution by a foreign national, and bribery.

Adams is claiming this is all a hit job by the government because he has pushed back on, among other things, immigration.

He stated, “My fellow New Yorkers, it is now my belief that the federal government intends to charge me with crimes.

“If so, these charges will be entirely false, based on lies. But, they would not be surprising.”

It is rather ironic how Adams was the golden boy of the party, an up-and-coming star, touted for much higher office before he started pushing back on immigration.

Then he became public enemy number one, and now he has been indicted.

Either way, this is a win for the GOP because it is either another corrupt Democrat being exposed or just proof that Biden has weaponized the DOJ to go after his enemies.
