Overwhelming number of Americans think Trump is following through on his promises
President Donald Trump has outdone himself this time around, doing more in the first few weeks of his second stint in the White House than any president has done in modern history.
According to the New York Post, an overwhelming majority of American voters feel strongly that Trump is following through on his myriad campaign promises, a new poll revealed.
Trump made history on his first day back in office by signing hundreds of executive orders and began the work of erasing what Joe Biden left behind, which was a disaster.
American voters are giving Trump high marks in following through on his word and also the approval of his work so far.
What's going on?
A new poll revealed that a vast majority of Americans -- at 70% -- believe Trump has followed through on his promises and most of those polled have a favorable impression of the 47th president.
Only 30% of the poll's respondents don't believe Trump has came through on his campaign promises, even though there's more than enough proof that he has.
In addition to maintaining his reputation that he's a man of his word, American voters seem to be quite happy with his job performance so far, as he was able to notch an impressive 53% job approval rating.
The Post noted:
The high marks extended to much of Trump’s major decisions as well, with 59% approving of his deportation efforts, compared to 41% disapproving. Some 64% backed his decision to dispatch troops to the US-Mexico border relative to 36% who disapproved.
Trump has also taken more questions from reporters in his first three weeks in office than Biden did over the course of a year or more, and hasn't hesitated to make his stances perfectly clear.
It's almost as if American voters respect a transparent, straight-shooter of a president. Imagine that?
Minor hiccup
The only area where Trump suffered a bit in the specifics of the poll was his promise to make the everyday cost of living in America lower than it was under Biden.
The Post noted:
A sizeable 66% believe that Trump isn’t focused enough on lowering the cost of living for everyday Americans. Only 13% felt that his recent plan to take over the Gaza Strip was a good idea, relative to 47% who called it a bad idea.
There's no reason to believe that Trump isn't working on that promise. And that's a big one that will certainly not happen overnight.
So far, Trump is killing it, and the country will soon prosper again as a result of his hard work.
