Pelosi Behind Ouster of Nadler, But for What Purpose?
If you think Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has ceded her influence in terms of influencing House leadership, I have some nice swamp land to sell you that would make a great farm.
To that point, Pelosi just helped push Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) out as ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, and I think I have an idea why that took place.
Biden is Out
Joe Biden had been adamant that he was not leaving the presidential race, then Pelosi got involved.
Pelosi was upset that Biden was way behind in polling, and she did not want Trump to win, so the rumors at the time were that Pelosi was meeting with members of Congress and White House insiders to pressure Biden to drop out.
As we now know, Biden eventually caved, and the relationship between Biden and Pelosi was fractured.
As far as we know, the two have still not spoken in person since Biden dropped out of the race.
Nadler is Out
Since Harris lost the election, Pelosi now feels as though she is the only one that can stop Trump.
Rumors were that if Harris had won, this would have been Pelosi’s last term, but now she has already filed to run again in 2026 and is flexing her muscles again.
Pelosi wanted to see a change in leadership, and she backed Rep. Raskin (D-MD) over Nadler for the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee.
Within days, Nadler announced he would not run for leadership, handing the role to Raskin. But the question is, why did Pelosi choose Raskin?
The Resistance
In February 2024, Raskin participated in a panel discussion about the possibility of Donald Trump winning the election. During that discussion, Raskin presented an option for how Democrats could possibly remove Trump from office even if he was elected.
Now, I don’t want to be accused of making this up, so here is the video where Raskin explains his idea…
Raskin has had TDS ever since Trump walked down that escalator, and I believe he will go after Trump with everything he has in this position if Democrats can manage to take back the House in 2026.
Just remember this post if the GOP loses the House, and watch and see how Raskin starts to revive Trump impeachment talks, especially if Trump pardons January 6 defendants who were charged with sedition. If Trump does that, he brings in Section III of the 14th Amendment for lending aid and comfort to an insurrectionist. I am telling you, my friends, this battle is far from over, and Pelosi is still the one pulling the strings.
