POLL: Harris now double-digit favor to win 2028 nomination
While Democrat voters sent a clear message to their party for change, they seem to have forgotten the lesson themselves.
New polling is surfacing to gauge who will take the top spot in 2028, and you won't believe the results… Harris is a double-digit favorite.
Harris Out of 2020 Race Early
I feel like a broken record here, but I cannot help but remind people how much they hate Kamala Harris when she gets into the spotlight.
Harris was an early favorite in the 2020 election, but the more people got to see her, the less they liked her.
The last straw was when she more or less called Joe Biden a racist during a presidential election, which started the downfall of her polling, to the point she was out of the race before a primary vote was ever cast.
Upon leaving the 2024 race, she stated, "I've taken stock, and I've looked at this from every angle, and over the last few days, I have come to one of the hardest decisions of my life. As the campaign has gone on, it has become harder and harder to raise the money we need to compete."
Worst Presidential Loss in Decades
The party was so excited to get Joe Biden out of the race, they seemed forget how bad Kamala Harris really was.
The 2024 election was a complete and utter disaster, which many in the party are now saying was Biden’s fault for not dropping out earlier, but I would point to the fact Harris was spotted close to a four-point lead and managed to lose that cushion in only three months.
To that point, realize that Joe Biden took virtually every key swing state, including Georgia, during the 2020 election. That was completely reversed in the 2024 election, with Trump winning every battleground state while besting his record-setting total for a GOP candidate in 2020 by more than three million votes. Harris, on the other hand, received approximately six million fewer votes than Biden did in 2020.
Trump won both the popular vote and the Electoral College vote, something that had not been done since Ronald Reagan ran for office.
Kamala the Early Favorite
How soon people seem to forget, as the first polling for the Democrat primary race is already out, and Kamala Harris is, by far, the leader.
Of all the possible candidates Democrats could pick, Harris led the way with 36% support, putting her 26 points ahead of former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, who only had 10% in second place.
California Governor Gavin Newsom was third at 5%, with PA Governor Josh Shapiro, the new kid on the block, coming in next at 4%, but I expect him to rise as we get closer to the actual election.
I am stunned the top two are Harris and Buttigieg, which is great news for conservatives. If that is the best the Democrat Party has to offer, I don’t see how the GOP can possibly lose in 2028 unless Trump has an absolutely horrid presidency.
