Ramaswamy Won’t Serve in DOGE

Heading into inauguration day, Vivek Ramaswamy touted how many cuts would be made by DOGE and how he would help chop down our overreaching government.

Well, that did not even last 48 hours into the Trump administration, as Ramaswamy has already announced that he is stepping down from DOGE.

He’s Out

I have never hidden how I feel about Ramaswamy, and I have detailed the pump-and-dump schemes he used to get rich and take advantage of people who believed his rhetoric.

I have always believed that Ramaswamy was playing Trump for an unknown endgame, but there is a bit more clarity on that now.

After vowing to help Trump trim government spending, Ramaswamy has already bowed out of DOGE, with reports that he will soon announce a gubernatorial run in Ohio.

Ramaswamy is a native Ohioan and a close friend of JD Vance’s, so it will be interesting to see how all this plays out.

Did Musk Remove Him

There are now rumors floating around that Ramaswamy’s exit from DOGE was not necessarily his doing.

One person inside the Trump circle stated that Ramaswamy had “just burned through the bridges and he finally burned Elon. Everyone wants him out of Mar-a-Lago, out of D.C.”

I have also stated that Musk clearly has an agenda here, and, like Trump, he does not like to share the spotlight, but there is more to this than just wanting all the DOGE credit that we do not know.

I am guessing that most people simply had enough of Ramaswamy’s con and they wanted him gone, one way or another.

The Tweet That Started It All

The fallout with Ramaswamy reportedly started in December when he expressed his support for the H-1B visa program on X, posting, "The reason top tech companies often hire foreign-born & first-generation engineers over 'native' Americans isn’t because of an innate American IQ deficit (a lazy and wrong explanation). A key part of it comes down to the c-word: culture."

As I stated when I reported on that post, sometimes it is not what you say but how you say it, and this is a perfect example of that.

Ramaswamy got torched by MAGA online, and he suddenly faded into the background.

While the Trump administration has said all the right things about Vivek on his way out the door, I believe there will be a lot more to come out about this in the near future. Again, a big tell will be who endorses Ramaswamy for governor. I am especially curious to see how Vance responds, as a governor’s spot would raise Ramaswamy’s profile if he decided to run for president in 2028, of which Vance has to be considered the favorite right now.
