Rep. Crockett admits Dems not interested in legislating right now
Over the last month or so, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) has become all the rage in the Democrat Party.
Well, now she is not only getting the interest of the liberal media but also Attorney General Pam Bondi.
Tread carefully
Crockett is not making a name for herself for her actions in Congress, but rather for her obscene and tasteless comments as well as her social media videos.
For instance, she recently called Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) “Governor Hot Wheels.” For those of you not familiar with my governor, he is in a wheelchair, so I guess that was supposed to be funny.
She had also stated that Elon Musk needed to be “taken down,” which got Bondi’s attention.
Bondi warned Crockett, "She is an elected public official, so she needs to tread very carefully because nothing will happen to Elon Musk, and we are going to fight to protect all the Tesla owners throughout this country.”
Keep Going
That warning clearly did not register with Crockett. Even though Crockett responded that she never encouraged violence, she immediately proved herself to be a liar.
Crockett was conducting a local interview with NBC DFW, where she discussed Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX).
Crockett, who, when running for office, always talked professionally, has now taken on a “hood” persona. To that point, on Cruz, she stated, “This dude has to be knocked over the head, like hard, right.”
Dems have been doing this for years, saying one thing, then denying it in the media, then they sit on their hands when violence breaks out, and they try to say they had nothing to do with it. The truly sad thing is that the media allows her to say this without even challenging her.
Not Interested
Crockett has dealt Democrats another blow by openly admitting she is not even interested in legislating right now, only stopping Trump and Republicans.
During the same interview where she talked about hitting Cruz over the head, when asked about passing legislation, she responded, “‘Trying to pass.’ Uh, no. You know, I should probably be a better politician and tell you, ‘Yes, we’ve got all this amazing legislation that I can absolutely imagine Donald Trump signing into law.’ I’m just not gon’ lie.
“I think that right now, it is about preserving our basics and getting back some of the norms — the norms that make sure that people have food on the table, the norms that make sure that people aren’t going through any extra layer of stress when it comes to figuring out education for their kids.”
It just goes to show how rudderless the Democrat caucus in the House is right now under House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.). The same thing was going on when Pelosi was the Dem leader in the House, only nobody was stupid enough to say what Crockett openly just said to the media. This is the state of our political world, my friends, and don’t expect it to change anytime soon.
