REPORT: Biden Campaign Polling Harris Against Trump for Break the Glass Scenario
Reports surfaced this week that the Biden campaign is starting to consider other options.
While Joe Biden has been very defiant in terms of leaving this race, his campaign is reportedly testing the waters in regard to Harris possibly replacing Biden in the election.
Biden had previously stated that the only way he would step down is if his data showed that he could not win this election.
The Real Threat
Dems have really put themselves into a horrible position by nominating Joe Biden.
They should have convinced him to step down before the primary, but now that they have finally decided he is mentally unfit, their options are limited.
They can remove him forcefully via the 25th Amendment, but that would probably do more harm than good.
While they cannot force Biden to drop out, they can put significant pressure on him, which is what many members of Congress are now doing.
The danger in that, however, is that if they miss with this shot, they have given the GOP more than enough ammunition to use against Biden and Democrats in the upcoming election.
To that point, Biden’s campaign, who has people who believe Biden is done, are running the numbers to see if Harris would be polling better than Biden.
One official stated, “He needs to drop out. He will never recover from this.”
Another stated, “No one involved in the effort thinks he has a path.”
For the most part, Michelle Obama was the only Democrat who could beat Trump, but quite a few polls running right now will offer more clarity on this.
Expect some numbers to start getting posted early next week. I imagine that Democrats will be doing more polling independently and meeting over the weekend to figure out a path forward.
I don’t see a way out for Dems because even if they manage to get Biden to step down rather than be removed, they are both taking the voting out of the hands of the American people in terms of being able to choose a candidate and Biden stepping down would prove that the GOP has been right about Biden’s mental health all along.
So, like I said, this is an absolute disaster for their party.
