REPORT: Bidens reached out to party officials to help with fundraising
It appears that Joe Biden is hoping to get back into the good graces of the Democrat Party.
Reports surfaced last week that Joe had reached out to party officials to offer a hand in fundraising.
Joe Has to Drop Out
I found this report rather amusing, considering the number of donors who pulled back their money from the DNC when Biden was still in the presidential election.
For instance, Abigail Disney, the heiress to the Disney fortune, had announced, “I intend to stop any contributions to the party unless and until they replace Biden at the top of the ticket. This is realism, not disrespect. Biden is a good man and has served his country admirably, but the stakes are far too high.
“If Biden does not step down the Democrats will lose. Of that I am absolutely certain. The consequences for the loss will be genuinely dire.”
She was far from the only one taking this stance. Gideon Stein, among others, held up a $3.5 million donation until Biden dropped out of the race.
Dems Turning Off Money
Democrat donors could not write the checks quick enough for Kamala Harris, but the funds have repeatedly dried up again now that the GOP is running right over the Democrat Party in Congress.
One donor stated, “I’ll be blunt here: The Democratic Party is f‑‑‑ing terrible. Plain and simple. In fact, it doesn’t get much worse.”
A second added, “They want us to spend money, and for what? For no message, no organization, no forward thinking. … The thing that’s clear to a lot of us is that the party never really learned its lesson in 2016. They worked off the same playbook and the same ineffective strategies and to what end?”
If Democrats have any chance of stopping Trump, they must win back the House or Senate in 2026, but they will surely not be able to do so without sufficient funding. Ironically, the man who wrecked the party is now offering to help.
Joe and Jill Biden Want Back In
With the Democrat Party reeling, reports have surfaced that Joe and Jill Biden are offering to lend a hand to rebuild the party, but the reaction has been tepid, at best.
One Biden ally stated, “Who’s going to want Joe Biden back in the game?” With the damage Joe did to the party, that is about what I would have expected.
Jill, however, could be another story, as party members still seem to be in love with the former First Lady. The reaction to Jill getting back in was quite different, with one source stating, “She recognizes that serving in the capacities that she served is an honor and it comes with responsibilities to the party. And she’s prepared to help in any way she can.”
My guess here is that the offer will be rejected, as Democrats are clearly looking to move on from the fossils in the party, so the last thing they want is a feeble Joe Biden out on the trail reminding everyone of the disastrous 2024 cycle. What this really is, however, is Joe and Jill’s narcissism coming into play. They are irrelevant right now, and it is eating them up inside.
