REPORT: DOJ Officials Leaked Reports to Media Before the Election

Once again, it would appear that officials within our government are guilty of election interference.

The DOJ Office of the Inspector General dropped a bombshell report this week regarding leaks that took place heading into the election.

2020… Wast This Election Interference

During the 2020 election, one of the biggest stories of the cycle was the Hunter Biden laptop and the bombshell photos and information it included.

However, the report was soon stifled, including big tech dropping the clamps on the report being distributed after 51 former intelligence officials came forward saying the laptop was likely Russian misinformation.

The letter stated that the officials were “deeply suspicious that the Russian government played a significant role in this case.” Mind you, none of them had actually examined the laptop, and were only comparing reports about the laptop to the previous campaigns by the Kremlin.

The letter continued, “If we are right, this is Russia trying to influence how Americans vote in this election, and we believe strongly that Americans need to be aware of this.”

They Were Wrong

We now know they were wrong, but it went much further than that.

These officials were mostly all Biden allies, and conversations made public after the fact proved that they were only doing this to help Joe Biden during the campaign, more specifically, during Biden’s debate against Trump.

It worked, as the letter made front page headlines, dominated the mainstream media, and Biden used the letter to refute an attack by Trump during the debate.

After the fact, most of us were clamoring that this should have been considered election interference, and I am still baffled about how no investigation ever took place or how these officials were not held accountable for using government resources to pull off this coup.

It Happened Again

This time around, it turns out more information had been leaked to the media by the Department of Justice. The report was released by DOJ Inspector General Horowitz, installed during the Obama administration.

The report stated, “The OIG investigation found that three then Senior DOJ Officials violated DOJ’s Confidentiality and Media Contacts Policy by leaking to select reporters, days before an election, non-public DOJ investigative information regarding ongoing DOJ investigative matters, resulting in the publication of two news articles that included the non-public DOJ investigative information.”

So, here is the thing… this is something that will surely be investigated, which is probably why there have been reports that some DOJ officials are lawyering up in anticipation of Trump going after them.

This is a legitimate crime, and should be punished, yet if Trump goes after them, the media and Democrats will do their best to make it appear that Trump weaponized his DOJ to go after these people. But, as I have stated many times on this subject, if a real crime was committed, it is not revenge… it’s justice.
