REPORT: Gabbard Was on No-fly List During Biden Administration
Donald Trump has named former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-AK) as his Director of National Intelligence.
Gabbard revealed that for a short time, the Biden administration has placed her on the no-fly list.
On the List
The Biden administration has earned its reputation for having weaponized the DOJ, but this goes much deeper than just going after Trump.
Many people may not have even heard the story, but after Gabbard started criticizing the Biden administration, she was placed on the Quiet Skies domestic terror watchlist.
Gabbard posted in September, “The TSA placed me on the Quiet Skies domestic terror watchlist in what I can only describe as the ultimate betrayal. The Harris-Biden regime has now labeled me a domestic terror threat. Why? They see me as a threat to their power.”
They quickly removed her from the list after going public with the announcement, but it was the timing of this that struck me. It just so happened this was right around the time that it was clear Gabbard was going to endorse Trump and a favorite to wind up in his administration in a very influential post.
Russian Asset
After Trump named Gabbard, the attacks immediately started by disgruntled Democrats who are still upset she left the party to support Trump and join the GOP.
Hillary Clinton, without naming Gabbard, insinuated that she was backed by the Russians quite some time ago, but numerous Democrats are now pushing that narrative.
Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), a major Clinton ally, was not so discreet, stating, “There’s no question I consider her someone who is likely a Russian asset.” Gabbard, by the way, remains an officer in the reserves, so this is just ludicrous.
Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA) also pushed this narrative, stating, “Someone who has aligned herself with Vladimir Putin and Bashar al-Assad and trafficked in Russian-backed conspiracy theories is an unsuitable and potentially dangerous selection. The objections to her nomination transcend partisan politics. This is a matter of national security.”
Haley Has Concerns
Former presidential candidate Nikki Haley has also expressed concerns about Gabbard based on her past comments.
Haley stated, “So now she’s defended Russia, she’s defended Syria, she’s defended Iran, and she’s defended China. No, she has not denounced any of these views. None of them. She hasn’t taken one of them back.”
Haley later added, “This is not a place for a Russian, Iranian, Syrian, Chinese sympathizer,” and she is far from alone with those concerns in the GOP.
Frankly, I was surprised that Trump put Gabbard in this position, and I have expressed my own concerns about her on this front. I do like Gabbard, just not in this role, so don’t be surprised if she does not get confirmed.
