Schiff Suggests Trump Will Use Military Against Him

The biggest misinformation culprit in DC, in my opinion, is Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), who just won his Senate race in California.

He is at it again, telling the media that he is worried that Trump will use the military against him after he takes office.

Coming for Him

Schiff repeatedly lied to the American people regarding Russian collusion, and he has doubled down on every one of those lies, never held accountable by the media.

In fact, the media continues to give him a pulpit to so completely idiotic and made-up things to get the Democrat side of the aisle all riled up.

CNN’s Jake Tapper, who used to be a decent journalist, set Schiff up for the statement, asking him if Schiff thought Trump would use the military against him.

Schiff replied, “Clearly, that’s what he was talking about. Would he go to that link with the military and essentially fulfill some kind of an unconstitutional order? I would hope the military would have more independence than that.

“Historically, the military has stood up to civilian authority where civilian authority has suggested, as in his first administration, unconstitutional acts. Um, look, I’m not going to be intimidated by anything he says by anything he does. If I was, I wouldn’t be on your show. I’m going to do my responsibility in the Senate.

“Californians are expecting me, first and foremost, to try to work and get things done, work across the aisle where the president wants to fight prices. I will work with him. Where the president wants to engage in unconstitutional abuses of power, just as he did in the first administration, I will defend our state.

“I will defend the rights and freedom of the American people. So, yeah, that’s what he said. That’s what he may try to do. But I’m not going to be intimidated.”

They Are Delusional

The entire left is delusional on this front, and that starts with the Supreme Court, where Justice Sotomayor wrote a shameful dissent when the Supreme Court released its ruling on presidential immunity.

That ruling did nothing more than package all the previous cases on presidential immunity, dating back to the Nixon administration.

It made it clear that all official acts of a president are immune from prosecution, but not all acts of a sitting president should be considered official acts.

Yet, in her dissent, Sotomayor wrote, “Orders the Navy’s Seal Team 6 to assassinate a political rival? Immune.” Clearly, that is not what the ruling mean, yet she twisted it to get the left wound up over the idea that Trump could use Special Forces units as his personal hit squad.

It Will NEVER Happen

It is beyond disappointing that Tapper set Schiff up for that answer, but it is even more disappointing that a Supreme Court justice would buy into this garbage. I can say very confidently that there is not a single military leader that would carry out such an order. That scenario will never play out, yet the media, our justices, and elected officials continue to spew this nonsense. But I guess they are not instigating another assassination attempt against Trump, right?
