Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse slams Kash Patel prior to successful Senate confirmation vote
Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is alive and well within the ranks of the Democratic Party, as was evidenced recently after FBI Director Kash Patel was confirmed in the upper chamber.
According to Fox News, the silly Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D) had a bit of a nervous breakdown before Patel was confirmed by the Senate, saying Republicans would "rue the day" they confirmed him.
The embarrassing display was the latest by Democrats who are clearly angry and tired after Trump's November victory, and can't stand the thought of the D.C. swamp being drained at the rate it is.
Sen. Whitehouse made his asinine -- and outright false -- comments about Patel outside of the FBI's headquarters on Thursday morning, the outlet reported.
What did he say?
Trump's picks for his Cabinet and his administration overall have been met with high praise from his supporters and extreme vitriol from his haters on the left.
Patel is easily one of President Trump's most popular picks, as he has stated for the record that he will work to restore the once-good reputation of the FBI and work to drain it of political operatives.
Sen. Whitehouse clearly isn't a fan of Patel's vision for the federal law enforcement agency -- an agency that managed to nearly completely tarnish its reputation under former President Joe Biden.
"Kash Patel, mark my words, will cause evil in this building behind us, and Republicans who vote for him will rue that day," Whitehouse said outside of the agency's headquarters building.

Social media users had a blast torching Whitehouse over his breakdown, which also occurred inside the Senate building.
Social media reaction
Users across social media roasted Whitehouse's outburst, with some suggesting that people having such hissy fits might actually be the most scared of Patel heading up the FBI.
"Those who scream the loudest have the most to hide! This will be fun to watch!" one X user wrote.
Another X user wrote, "Senator Whitehouse is a joke and a distraction from the fraud, waste and abuse. Kash Patel must be confirmed!"
And thankfully, he was confirmed.
