Senator Lindsey Graham Snaps at Reporter

Senator Lindsey Graham is embedded in the DC Swamp, yet he still continues to defend Trump on most issues.

To that point, when he was on CBS with Magaret Brennan this weekend, Graham dropped the hammer, calling out the media for its unfair coverage, particularly when it comes to Trump.

Just Do Your Job

In his recent memoir, former Attorney General William Barr took a shot at Kash Patel, Trump’s nominee for FBI Director, claiming Patel “would never be able to command the respect necessary to run the day-to-day operations of the Bureau.”

Graham brushed aside Barr’s comments, then went down the rabbit hole, calling out the media for everything from the Russian Collusion hoax to the deceiving narratives against Israel.

Brennan was clearly getting frustrated, so she put the conversation back on Patel, demanding Graham say if he would support him no matter what, to which Graham responded, “I won’t say no matter what. Yes, I am ready to vote for Kash Patel because you will never ask me the role he played in exposing the darkest moment of the FBI since J. Edgar Herbert. That’s why I trust him.”

Then he went for the knockout punch, stating, “Yeah, I’m sure Democratic friends will ask him. You shouldn’t worry about Kash Patel. You should worry about reporting the news fairly, which you don’t do when it comes to everything Trump.”

Mostly Negative

Graham is very much right in his observation about how the media treated Donald Trump.

Since Trump came down that escalator, the media has tried to spin everything negative as well as blatantly ignoring what should have been positive stories for Trump.

A recent study by the Pew Research Center found that 62% of the coverage of Trump was negative, with only 5% being positive.

Compare that to Barack Obama, where only 20% of the coverage was negative, and 42% was positive. We can also go back to Clinton, who only had 28% negative, and Bush, who only had 28% negative.

They Were Wrong

There is one thing to be negative when it calls for it, but to just trash someone for the sake of trashing them or to create a narrative, well, that is just plain dishonest, but that is what the media did.

It often reported stories the way it wanted the story to be without actually vetting the so-called “evidence.” We can go back to the Hunter Biden laptop story, where the mainstream media simply took the word of 51 former intelligence officials and Joe Biden over the fact the laptop existed. Only after the election did the mainstream media do its job on this front, eventually reporting the truth about the laptop.

The Russian collusion is still my favorite. The narrative pushed by then-Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) over the facts laid out by then Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) blew up in the media's face. The media called Nunes a conspiracy theorist and ate up every word of Schiff, only to find out later that it was Schiff’s statement that was filled with lies.

Listen, I report the facts as best I can. I don’t claim to get everything right, but I try, and when Trump or another Republican is out of line, I call them out. Why the mainstream media does not do the same with Democrats is beyond me. As I have stated before, the mainstream media is now, more or less, just an extension of the Democrat Party… state-run media.
