Senator names Tulsi Gabbard as 'in most danger' of not getting confirmed

Many of Donald Trump's nominees have already been confirmed. Marco Rubio made it through with flying colors. Pete Hegseth needed JD Vance to step in and break a tie, but he was confirmed as well.

Is Tulsi Gabbard going to be as successful as these other two were?

Senator John Kennedy, a Republican from Louisiana, has some serious questions about Tulsi Gabbard's ability to be confirmed at this point.

Kennedy has even gone so far as to say that Tulsi Gabbard is the Trump nominee likely in the most danger of not being confirmed by the U.S. Senate.

The reasons

One reason that Tulsi Gabbard might have some trouble getting confirmed is the fact that she's been in the minority when it comes to all of the aid that America is providing to Ukraine.

While almost all Democrats and many Republicans feel as though America should be pouring endless dollars into Ukraine because Ukraine is a loosely pro-USA country, Tulsi Gabbard has been public about her opposition to the aid.

According to the Daily Caller:

Gabbard has criticized the U.S. government for handing over billions of dollars to Ukraine and accused the “power elite” of risking Americans’ safety for the benefit of Ukrainians. The nominee has come under scrutiny from Democrats, including former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, for challenging the status quo on the Russia-Ukraine war and have publicly accused her of being a Russian asset and a threat to national security.

Senator John Kennedy's analysis:

"I expect most if not all of [the nominees] to be confirmed," Kennedy said.

"Why? Number one, the president’s dug in like a tick. He wants these people. But number two, you’ve got to remember these confirmation hearings matter. If a nominee acts like a complete meathead or starts screaming like he or she is part of a prison riot, people are gonna say ‘woah, we need to take a second look.’ But short of that, I think most if not all will be confirmed. The one most on the bubble, as you know as well as I do, is Tulsi Gabbard."

Kennedy isn't the only Congressman with reservations about Tulsi Gabbard. Many politicians have received money from the defense industry. These people owe it to their donors to spend as much on war as possible, so Gabbard's opposition to America spending over $200,000,000,000 on Ukraine's war against Russia is rubbing these politicians the wrong way.

Florida Representative Debbie Wasserman-Schulz accused Gabbard of likely being a "Russian asset."

Illinois Senator Tammy Duckworth recently told CNN's Dana Bash that Gabbard is "compromised" and will not be able "to pass a background check."

Tulsi Gabbard has also faced scrutiny over her 2017 meeting with dictator Bashar al-Assad, who Gabbard claimed she visited in order to "profess to truly care about the Syrian people."

"I want to address the issue that’s in the headlines right now: I stand in full support and wholeheartedly agree with the statements that President Trump has made over these last few days with regards to the developments in Syria," Gabbard said. "My own views and experiences have been shaped by my multiple deployments and seeing first-hand the costs of war and the threat of Islamist terrorism. It’s one of the many reasons why I appreciate President Trump’s leadership and his election where he is fully committed, as he has said over and over again, to bringing about an end to wars."
