Senator Tom Cotton Drops the Hammer on Harris Narrative

Over the last few days, there has been a lot made of Donald Trump’s visit to Arlington National Cemetery.

Donald Trump was invited to attend a memorial event for the 13 fallen from the Afghanistan withdrawal.

Pictures were taken, and Democrats and the media have been hammering Trump, and Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) set the record straight.

Not a Photo Op

Listen, I am the first person to say that I did not particularly like the pictures taken that day, with the families and Trump smiling, thumbs up, at the grave sites.

Having said that, the families asked Donald Trump to take that picture, so who am I to question the desires of Gold Star families?

Kamala Harris has accused Trump of using the ceremony as a photo op (just like every other politician has done in the past, including Joe Biden).

Senator Cotton set the record straight on the matter, stating, "He didn't take campaign photos there. These families — Gold Star families — whose children died due to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris's incompetence, invited him to the cemetery, and they asked him to take those photos... You know who those families also invited? Joe Biden and Kamala Harris — where were they?

“Joe Biden was sitting at a beach. Kamala Harris was sitting at her mansion in Washington, DC. She was four miles away — ten minutes. She could've gone to the cemetery and honor the sacrifice of those young men and women, but she hasn't.

“She never has spoken to them or taken a meeting with them. It is because of her and Joe Biden's incompetence that those 13 Americans were killed in Afghanistan."

Two things here…

First, I am not sure the families invited Biden and Harris. In fact, several of the families made videos responding to Harris’ allegations and specifically stated they did not even want Biden and Harris there.

However, there were about six other families that did not post a response, so they may have been invited, but I could just not verify that.

Second, at the end of that video, Welker stated that both Harris and Biden were at the dignified transfer, but she was wrong.

Only Biden was there, and if you recall, he was caught checking his watch because he could not wait to get out of there.

But it just goes to show the lengths to which the media will try to protect Biden and Harris when they never challenged a word said that comes out of a Democrat’s mouth.
