Tapper book on Biden decline points to ‘tip of spear’ of cover-up

“Original Sin,” the latest tell-all book on the Biden administration by Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson, offers a lot of insight into who was really trying to pull the wool over people’s eyes.

I, however, would like to point out a few of the people who should be called out over this.

Karine Jean-Pierre

As the White House Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre was front and center when it came to the bogus narrative regarding Joe Biden’s mental health.

In July 2024, Jean-Pierre was asked flat-out about a possible cover-up regarding Joe Biden’s mental health, to which she responded, "First of all, there's been no cover-up. I want to be very clear about that."

Jean-Pierre even went so far as to accuse the media of making this all up, stating, "I know that that is a narrative that you love to –"

Jean-Pierre was in contact with Joe Biden on an almost daily basis, also traveling with Biden when he went overseas. She saw everything, yet she looking into that camera every day and lied to the American people.

Rep. Mike Quigley

Most of us remember when Joe Biden went to Ireland and stumbled around. I can still remember Biden being approached at a restaurant and sounding like he had a few too many Guinness.

The trip, if you recall, was in April 2023, and Rep. Mike Quigley (D-IL) was also on the trip, and he now admits he saw signs of the mental decline of Joe Biden. He stated, "We just had this moment where he met the president of Ireland, and the whole tour was going extremely well, and the president was in great, great spirits.

"And it reminded me, this is my father who was suffering from Parkinson's later in life, we‘d have a family reunion and he‘d be all charged up. And, you know, he had that energy and you could hear his voice. And then when it was over, the air came out of the balloon."

Did he say anything about it at the time? Did he object to Biden running for president again? Did he ever raise a red flag to tell the American people that the Commander-in-Chief was quite possibly mentally incapacitated? Of course not.

Andrew Bates

In “Original Sin,” Tapper and Thompson point the finger at former White House deputy press secretary Andrew Bates as the mastermind behind this entire charge.

In the book they write, "Some of Bates’s colleagues believed that Biden’s inner circle took advantage of his loyalty and told him to deny things they knew were true.

"He, along with most of the press team, rarely met with the president and didn’t have firsthand knowledge of the president’s wherewithal. They relied on senior staff for answers. Still, risking his own credibility, Bates willingly became the White House’s tip of the spear when it came to fighting off any reporting on Biden’s acuity."

Bates is dismissing that narrative, but what else would you expect him to do at this point. In my opinion, this is treasonous. When you think of what could have gone down with an incapacitated president, and this was clearly an organized effort to cover for him, someone has to be held accountable. I want some heads on a platter, and to me, Jean-Pierre and Bates sound like a good place to start.
