Tim Walz Loses Home County to Trump, But That’s Not All

When you choose a VP as your running mate, they have to bring something to the table. 

Tim Walz did the opposite... as in he could not even help Harris carry his home county.  

Choosing a VP 

When Harris picked Walz, most people, including this writer, were stunned that Harris did not choose PA Governor Josh Shapiro. 

Everyone on the planet knows the key to any Democrat presidency is taking the Blue Wall. As long as you don’t get upset in the normal blue states, you carry the Blue Wall, you wind up at 270 on the button.  

I have no doubt that, at the very least, had Harris chosen Shapiro, she would have won Pennsylvania, possibly even Michigan, but she chose Walz, who is from Minnesota, a state that was in the bag for Democrats.  

Slap in the Face 

In the 2020 race, Donald Trump lost Minnesota by more than 240,000 votes. Yet, in 2024, Trump may have cut that total by half.  

It is cutting down deficits like that in blue strongholds that is directly responsible for Trump winning the popular vote.  

So, not only did Trump take a chunk out of Biden’s win, but one of the reasons he was able to do so is because Walz could not even carry his home county, in what has to be a huge slap in the face for the Governor.  

Trump captured 49.6% (Harris had 48.3%) of the vote in Blue Earth County, which is where Tim Walz lived for two decades before he became governor, so it looks like all those stories we heard about Walz were true! 

It’s Gets Worse 

Contrary to popular belief, Texas was never in jeopardy, which is what I had contended all along. 

Also, as I predicted, Dems mostly carried the major cities, such as Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston, which are all packed with liberals. What they did not carry for the first time in more than a century, however, were the border counties.  

Starr County is a Democrat stronghold along the border, and Donald Trump won 57% of the vote to Harris’ 41%. This county is packed with legal Hispanic voters, so this tells you what they think about the Democrats allowing the borders to flow like a broken faucet.  

Oh, and by the way, for all those Democrats saying that Hispanics are racist and sexist, in the 2016 race, Hillary Clinton carried 79% of Starr County, so just go throw that back in their face when they start offering up these lame excuses as to why Harris lost to Trump.
