Trump Cabinet Picks Being Threatened After Nominations
The resistance to the incoming administration has already started.
According to reports, numerous Trump officials have faced threats, including bomb threats.
Breakneck Speed
Donald Trump did not waste time this time around, clearly having a much better idea of who he wanted in his administration than he did last time.
More importantly, Trump is no longer relying on people like Senators McConnell (R-KY) and Graham (R-S.C.) for nominations like he did last time.
Trump is appointing loyalists so he will not have the resistance he did during his first term, and this has the left absolutely terrified.
So, when reports surfaced that threats were being made, it was not exactly surprising.
Threats Made
This is not an isolated incident, as many of the first nominations by Trump have already received threats.
This includes John Ratcliffe, the nominee to be CIA director; Pete Hegseth, the nominee for secretary of defense; and Rep. Elise Stefanik, the nominee for UN ambassador, were among those targeted. Brooke Rollins, who Trump has tapped to be secretary of agriculture, and Lee Zeldin, Trump's nominee to be EPA administrator.
Some have received pipe bomb threats while others are being threatened with swatting and the like. I think it is a rather safe assumption this is only going to get worse the closer we get to the inauguration. And I cannot imagine what will happen once Trump is in office and policies start to be put into play.
The FBI responded, "The FBI is aware of numerous bomb threats and swatting incidents targeting incoming administration nominees and appointees, and we are working with our law enforcement partners. We take all potential threats seriously and, as always, encourage members of the public to immediately report anything they consider suspicious to law enforcement."
Unfazed
Incoming White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt also addressed the threats, stating, "Last night and this morning, several of President Trump’s Cabinet nominees and administration appointees were targeted in violent, unAmerican threats to their lives and those who live with them.
“In response, law enforcement acted quickly to ensure the safety of those who were targeted. President Trump and the entire Transition team are grateful for their swift action."
If they think this is going to scare Trump officials, they better think again, however. Just listen to incoming Border Czar Tom Homan on this subject...
I have stated before that I was stunned that nothing happened on election day, but come the inauguration, I think the madness is going to start. Watch your six, my friends.
