Trump Contentious Interview Creating Buzz Online

Donald Trump and JD Vance are not only outpacing Harris and Walz in the interview count, but they are also creating significantly more buzz.

Two of Trump's most recent interviews are blowing up on the internet but for two different reasons.

Creating an Election Buzz

Say what you want about Trump, but the man is a master manipulator of a media cycle, and he is getting hot at just the right time. Trump recently interviewed with John Micklethwait at the Economic Club of Chicago, and it is getting a lot of attention for the pushback from Trump against Micklethwait.

Micklethwait tried to attack Trump on his economic plan, specifically, the tariffs he stated he would implement on day one. More specifically, Micklethwait noted that the plan would "have a serious effect on the overall economy."

Trump immediately pushed back, stating, "It's going to have a massive effect – positive effect. It's going to be a positive effect. It must be hard for you to spend 25 years talking about tariffs as being negative and then have somebody explain to you that you're totally wrong. No, there are no tariffs – all you have to do is build your plant in the United States and you don't have any tariffs That's what I want."

After the interview was published, JD Vance could not have been prouder of his running mate, boating about the segment on X

Appealing to the Younger Voter

Trump also appeared on "Flagrant," a podcast hosted by comedian Andrew Schulz. When Schulz was asked about the interview with Charlamagne Tha God, he responded, "The interview was fire, bro. I don't know what to tell you."

Charlamagne also noted that one of his listeners had reached out to him about the interview, predicting that the interview would get Trump elected.

Charlamagne stated, "A young, Black man, 20-something years old, I'm not gonna say his name; I should say his name… He comes to me this morning, he turns to me, he goes, 'Flagrant is gonna get Trump elected.'"

Rest assured, Trump's interview was far livelier than Charlamagne's with Harris. He even called her out for filibustering and repeating the same talking points (more on that in an upcoming report).

Thinking Outside the Box

Since Harris just did Fox News, I would love to see Trump tread in these waters and sit down with Charlamagne, who called Trump a fascist during his interview with Harris. While he is clearly rooting for Harris, I think he would be fair and hear Trump out.

And if Trump can win over that crowd, well, it would be game over for Harris because she is already bleeding young male black voters in the polls.
