Trump financial disclosure reveals massive haul in tchotchke products

If you had to guess where Donald Trump made most of his money in 2024, you would be with the majority if you thought it was from his properties.

That, however, would be wrong, because Trump’s biggest source of income last year was from selling the many tchotchkes his campaign and the Trump organization were selling to boost the Trump brand.

Big Money

I know I am going to take some hits on this one, but I want to be clear why I am reporting this particular story. My measuring stick is and always has been if I would be upset if the other side did it, and rest assured, just about everyone reading this report would be fuming if I changed the name out from Trump to Biden in this particular report.

Trump’s financial disclosure forms were just released, and if you can believe it, Trump’s biggest source of income was from selling his new crypto product as well as items such as guitars, sneakers, and watches, all bearing the Trump name.

Trump reportedly brought in about $57 million selling this stuff, far more than he made in any other aspect of his business ventures, which is absolutely stunning to me.

All he did was give those who think he ran for president solely to make himself richer more ammunition to attack him, and I have to admit, it is really hard to argue that point right now. And I want to be clear, if Trump did not run for president again, this would be a non-issue, but it sure does stink just a little bit, and the optics on this are horrific.

The Trump Expansion

This report is relevant due to a recent announcement by the Trump Organization regarding a massive expansion in the Middle East.

About two months ago, it was revealed that the Trump Organization had struck a $2 billion deal for the company’s digital coin with Middle East investors.

It was also announced that the family business was expanding its footprint rather significantly in the Middle East with new ventures for several luxury properties as well as a destination golf course in the region.

This announcement took place just before Trump headed to the Middle East, with the new business deals being compared to what Hunter Biden was doing when Joe Biden was vice president. At the time, I had stated this all could have been on the up and up, but the optics were atrocious.

The Plane

That brings us to the now-infamous plane that was gifted to the administration by Qatar, which has been accepted and must now be fitted to serve as Air Force One, which is a bill that will be footed by the American taxpayer.

The frustrating thing about this is that while Trump is raging about budget cuts, we will now likely get a bill for about $1 trillion for a plane that will be taken out of service when the new Air Force One fleet is delivered by Boeing, then sent to the Trump presidential library for display. In essence, we are paying for a display for Trump.

IN accepting the plane, the Pentagon stated, “The secretary of defense has accepted a Boeing 747 from Qatar in accordance with all federal rules and regulations. The Department of Defense will work to ensure proper security measures and functional-mission requirements are considered for an aircraft used to transport the President of the United States.”

Gifts of this nature are supposed to be approved by Congress, but it was accepted without the approval of Congress. Trump was already on their radar over the business expansion, and now this gift was like pouring gasoline on a four-alarm fire. I don’t like any of this, and I think it will put the GOP in a very bad spot when it comes to defending it during the 2026 and 2028 cycles.
