Trump International Golf Course Workers Being Questioned by Authorities

Loose lips sink ships. In this case, they may have almost gotten Donald Trump killed.

Trump’s trip to the golf course that day was supposed to be a last-minute excursion.

So, the question remains: how did a shooter set up for about 12 hours waiting for Trump if nobody was supposed to know about the trip?

Who Talked?

Not only was Ryan Routh set up along the fence line of the 6th hole, but he had been there, having set up a sniper’s nest, for roughly 12 hours before Trump showed up at the course.

It is only natural to wonder if a staffer talked to someone after learning that Trump would be playing that day.

The FBI and Secret Service started to question staffers, with one worker telling the media that he was “asked a couple questions about who I tell when President Trump is here.”

The worker continued, “They asked everyone if we tell our friends when he comes and goes.”

Authorities also showed workers a picture of Routh to see if they recognized him, but nobody did.

The staffer added, “Everyone was actually really nice to us; they said that we weren’t suspected of anything and they made sure I wasn’t too shaken up when they started talking to me.”

The club has a no-phone, no-photography rule in place, with the worker explaining, “It’s a firing offense to be on our phones at work, and even worse if we take pictures of President Trump.

“A lot of people leave their phones in their car just so they can’t possibly get in trouble for it.

“They’ve told us for a long time that we are putting him in danger if we text a friend to say that he’s here, even if the friends are fans of him. So I have never once done that, and I don’t think a lot of my coworkers have either.”

The area where the hole was has reportedly been there for some time, but it was never addressed. However, that is about to change.

The club directors stated they would survey the area to close any gaps that would allow someone to view the property from the outside.

All I can say is that we are pretty lucky the Secret Service agent spotted the weapon when he did because that club is generally packed on Sundays when members know that Trump will be around to play golf.

On the other hand, this was again sloppy work by the Secret Service in allowing someone to set up shop for 12 hours only a few hundred yards away from where Trump would be, and that does not even address that they reportedly knew about that spot for years and did nothing about it.

There clearly needs to be some changes in how the Secret Service is going about its business.
