Trump Mar-a-Lago Meetings Starting to Upset Democrats

Joe Biden may still be in office, but Donald Trump is the de facto president while still being the president-elect.

I say this because Trump has hosted some power players at Mar-a-Lago, and the continued guest list is really starting to concern Democrats.

Trudeau Flies to Florida

Donald Trump put both Canada and Mexico on notice that he will be dropping major tariffs against each country unless they do their part for border control.

Trudeau’s premier was talking tough, but while he was flexing, Trudeau was flying to Florida to bend the knee in person, spending a portion of the Thanksgiving holiday with the past and future president.

After the meeting, Trump posted, "I made it very clear that the United States will no longer sit idly by as our Citizens become victims to the scourge of this Drug Epidemic caused mainly by the Drug Cartels, and Fentanyl pouring in from China. Too much death and hardship!

"Prime Minister Trudeau has made a commitment to work with us to end this terrible devastation of U.S. Families. We also spoke about many other important topics like Energy, Trade, and the Arctic. All are vital issues that I will be addressing on my first days back in Office, and before."

Apple CEO Visits Trump

Next up was Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple.

Trump, as you all know, has been at war with tech, and Cook has never expressed anything but hostility toward Trump as far as I know, but that appears to be ready to change.

Prior to his meeting with Trump at Mar-a-Lago, Cook was one of the handful of tech companies that congratulated Trump, having posted, “We look forward to engaging with you and your administration to help make sure the United States continues to lead with and be fueled by ingenuity, innovation, and creativity.”

Don’t get too warm and fuzzy about this one, however, as Cook was likely looking to discuss a $15 billion fine Apple received from the UK. Cook is hoping that Trump can help him out on that front.

Bezos is Next

Late last week, it was reported that Trump would be setting up a meeting with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos this week.

Like Cook and Trudeau, Bezos was scheduled to fly to Florida to meet with Trump at Mar-a-Lago.

Bezos, who also owns the Washington Post, seemed to have put his foot down with the paper, not allowing his editorial board to endorse a candidate in this presidential election (we all know it would have been Kamala).

All of these people were part of Trump's resistance the first time around, so it is significant that they are reaching out to Trump to calm the waters before he takes office. But I have to admit, never in my life have I seen this many big names holding meetings with a president-elect, so this truly could be a sign of good things to come. Either that, or Trump goes over to the dark side.
