Trump reveals private conversation with Joe Biden on 2020 election
Donald Trump is claiming that he had a private conversation regarding the 2020 election with Joe Biden.
Trump says he now knows who Biden holds accountable for his loss.
Biden Leaves 2020 Election
With less than four months to go before the election, Donald Trump and Joe Biden faced off for what was supposed to be the first of two televised debates.
Biden crashed and burned, putting on display for the entire country what conservatives had been saying about him for years… Biden was not all there mentally and unfit for the position. Democrats panicked, applying significant pressure to Biden to step down after the debate and crashing polls.
Biden finally succumbed to the pressure, stating, “While it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.”
Biden then infuriated party leadership by offering his immediate endorsement of Kamala Harris, effectively ending the race to replace him. Biden stated, “My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year.”
Biden Still Thinks He Could Have Won
Biden was delusional after the election, likely smirking around the White House, thinking, “I told you so.” I still believe Biden endorsed Harris because he knew she was probably the only Democrat in the party who had a lower approval rating than he did.
Biden was later asked if he still thought he would have beaten Trump, and he responded, “It’s presumptuous to say that, but I think yes.” Biden was also asked if he thought he would have been able to serve the full term, and he responded, “I don’t know.”
I say this very confidently… there is no way Biden would have beaten Trump. Not only that, the energy level was so low in the party with him at the top of the ticket, I believe the GOP would have come out of House races in even better shape than they did with Harris at the top of the ticket.
Even though Harris lost, there was more energy behind her campaign, which is not saying much. But the point is that she energized some voters to head to the polls that likely would have stayed home if Joe had stayed in the race.
Trump Reveals Conversation
During a recent interview, Donald Trump stated that he and Joe Biden had a conversation about the election, with Biden allegedly revealing to him who he blamed for removing him from the presidential race.
Trump stated, "I went to the White House a few months before this all happened. … But I went there and he asked for a meeting, and I went and we talked for a little while, and at first I couldn’t… You couldn’t… He talked so low.”
Trump continued, "I asked him, I said, ‘So who do you blame?’ Because he was very angry, you know, he was a very angry guy, actually. And he said, ‘I blame Barack.’ And I never think of him as ‘Barack.’ You know, you always hear 'Obama.' You say, you have to think about that for a second. And he said, ‘and I also blame Nancy Pelosi.’"
I still believe Pelosi was the primary architect of removing Biden from the race, but I don’t think she had Kamala Harris in mind to replace Biden. Pelosi seemed upset, as did Obama, when Biden endorsed her after he withdrew from the race. Having said that, I still believe the GOP should have challenged Biden’s withdrawal, as the move was unprecedented. We will never know now, but I believe Harris being appointed by the party after a primary election was unconstitutional. My belief now is that the GOP was saving that challenge just in case Trump lost the election. But now, we will never know.
