Trump says Dems loved concept of DOGE before he became president
The American people have been calling for budgetary reform in this country for as long as I can remember.
It got to the point that Democrats even put out a video discussing this very subject, yet now that Trump has launched DOGE, they are in a panic attack.
Trump Announces DOGE
Trump made it very clear that government spending was going to be given a hard look during this administration.
Trump then announced that Vivek Ramaswamy and Elon Musk would head DOGE, but Ramaswamy dropped out early to make a run for governor in Ohio.
We all know our government lacks accountability in spending, and we also know all these big spending bills are loaded with fat that most people do not know about.
Imagine cutting out all that fat, while using some of that money to rebuild our infrastructure, military, and needed programs, while taking the rest of the cuts to start to reduce the national debt. Sounds like a good idea, right?
Obama and Biden Push Budgetary Reform
Well, if you listened to Barack Obama and Joe Biden, it was a great idea, so much so, they created a video about it.
That video was introduced this week by White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, telling Democrats outraged over DOGE, "To all of the Democrats who are planning to protest this week, here’s an explanation on DOGE, from your party’s own beloved leaders."
In that video, Obama stated, "Budget reform is not an option, it’s a necessity. We can’t sustain a system that bleeds billions of taxpayer dollars on programs that have outlived their usefulness or exist solely because of the power of politicians, lobbyists or interest groups."
Biden continued, "The American people are entitled to transparency. They’re entitled to be able to figure out where their dollars are going, and they’re entitled to accountability to make sure that we’re using the dollars for what we said it was for."
Dems Outraged
Democrats seem to like reform when they are leading it because they can continue to cover up their wasteful spending. To that point, it was no surprise to see them outraged over Musk leading the advisory group.
Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) continues to push the narrative that Elon Musk is not an elected official, as though the entire Biden administration consisted of elected officials. Need I remind everyone that Biden actually appointed someone to a post who had been rejected by the Senate (Neera Tanden) as his domestic policy adviser.
Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) pushed the tired narrative that this administration is creating a “constitutional crisis,” once again fearmongering the American people by crying wolf. He added, “We will use every tool at our disposal to try to get this crisis fixed.”
Every administration since I can remember has had wasteful spending, including Trump’s first term, but now they are actually doing something about it. People really need to ask why Democrats are more upset at the police who are catching the thieves than the actual thieves.
