Trump shutdown of USAID has Democrats inciting violence

One of the first targets of Musk’s DOGE agency was USAID, an organization that was more corrupt than helpful.

Democrats are losing their minds, calling for immediate hearings as well as inciting violence against Musk for targeting the agency.

Beyond Repair

When Musk started reviewing USAID's books, it became apparent very early that the organization was ripe with fraud and waste and needed to be shut down or reformed.

Musk seems to think shutting it down is the best bet, calling it “beyond repair,” and from what I have seen, I agree. He pulled no punches, stating, "USAID was a viper’s nest of radical-left marxists who hate America.”

Atul Gawande, who served as head of global health at USAID under Biden, responded, "This is a gift to our enemies and competitors. This pause is not a pause. It’s the destruction of the agency."

"Two weeks ago I was combating diseases," Gawande said. "We had 21 serious outbreaks at the time worldwide. Three are serious now: an Ebola outbreak in the capital of Uganda. Bird flu has broken out in 49 countries. Our efforts to contain them have all been shut down.”

Dems Respond

The agency is still technically operational, with Secretary of State Elon Musk having assumed command of the agency.

Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-NY) stated, “As you know, USAID is by statute an independent establishment outside of the State Department. Any proposal to modify that structure requires an Act of Congress.”

USAID was started via executive order by Kennedy, and the program itself was never codified in law, at least as far as I can tell, although some of the programs were. The agency falls under the purview of the Secretary of State, the president, and the National Security Council, so Rep. Meeks’ statement is flawed, to say the least.

Numerous Democrats held a rally in DC this week, calling out Musk for having recommended that USAID be shut down. It was to the point they were calling him a Nazi as well as calling for an uprising in the streets. It was far worse than the speech that Trump gave at the Stop the Steal rally that Democrats said incited an insurrection at the Capitol.

White House Responds

After hearing the violent rhetoric from elected Democrats, the White House was quick to call them all out for their rhetoric.

Peter Doocy asked White House Press Secretary Leavitt about their comments, to which she replied, "It's unacceptable, the comments that have been made by these Democrat leaders, and frankly, they don't even know what they're talking about, because President Trump was elected with a mandate from the American people to make this government more efficient.”

She concluded, "And for Democrat officials to incite violence and encourage Americans to take to the streets, is incredibly alarming, and they should be held accountable for that rhetoric."

I said this before… Democrats want chaos in the streets. They want Americans at each other’s throats because that is what makes their party thrive. If there is violence over USAID, I can guarantee you that the media will blame Trump and Musk, and look the other way at all the incendiary comments made that let up to that violence.
