Trump Tower lobby invaded by Pro-Mahmoud Khalil supporters

Things got a bit testy this week at the Trump Tower, where Melania and Barron Trump still reside during the school year.

According to reports, protesters from a progressive group entered the lobby of the building, chanting support for the pro-Palestine agitator at Columbia University.

Set Him Free

The irony in all of this is that the group is called Jewish Voice for Peace. I say it’s ironic because Khalil and Palestinians hate Israel and Jews, so this really baffles me.

Then I looked into the group and found out it had received more than $500,000 from George Soros’ Open Society Foundation.

The group stated, "We will not stand by as this fascist regime attempts to criminalize Palestinians and all those calling for an end to the Israeli government’s US-funded genocide of the Palestinian people. And we will never stop fighting for a free Palestine. If you come for one, you face us all. Free Mahmoud, free Palestine!"

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green (R-GA) responded, "Protesters have OCCUPIED Trump TOWER in NYC chanting 'Free Mahmoud, Free them All!' I know the owner of that building and he will definitely be pressing charges. FAFO."

Judge Blocks Ban

This all got started because the DOJ went after Khalil, who has a green card, for protesting at Columbia.

Now, to be clear, we know that Jewish students were threatened during these protests and we know there was trespassing, but can the Trump administration prove that Khalil committed a felony, a violent crime, or that he is directly aligned with Hamas because that is what it will take to have his green card revoked by a judge.

So far, judges have not been receptive to the move by the Trump administration, having already blocked the order, then extending that block.

The Trump administration is leaning toward a provision that would enable the Secretary of State to deem a migrant as a threat to the United States, so this issue is far from over in terms of the legal battle.

Democrats Take Up Khalil Fight

Many Democrats are sitting out this fight, but not all of them. Sitting out would be the prudent thing to do until Khalil is fully vetted, but we all know the usual suspects in cases such as this.

So far, a total of 14 Democrats are behind setting Khalil free, having penned a letter to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. Those Democrats are Reps. Rashida Tlaib (MI), Mark Pocan (WI), Nydia Velázquez (N.Y.), Delia Ramirez (IL), Ilhan Ohmar (MN), Jasmine Crockett (TX), Summer Lee (PA), Ayanna Pressley (MA), Lateefah Simon (CA), Gwen Moore (WI), Nikema Williams (GA), Al Green (TX), Andre Carson (IN), and James McGovern (MA).

Secretary of State Marco Rubio made it quite clear, stating, “We will be revoking the visas and/or green cards of Hamas supporters in America so they can be deported.”

I am really hoping the Trump administration can directly link Khalil to Hamas because it sure would be nice to hear those members of Congress justify their position for supporting a terrorist to remain in this country.
