Trump’s not dead… but Dems appear to wish differently

The Labor Day weekend is typically the first real opportunity a new president has to catch his breath, and Trump took advantage of it. He was out playing golf, but he canceled his media events and was staying out of the spotlight for a couple of days, even giving social media a bit of a break.

That started rumors that he was dead, as well as sick fantasies by liberals and Democrats, which Trump later addressed.

The rumors

Leading up to this weekend, you will recall all the reports about the bruising on Trump’s hand.

Now, the White House had addressed this as nothing more than a result of excessive handshakes, an aspirin regimen, and Trump’s age.

Even liberal stations had doctors on that could not argue with that explanation, but after a solid day of no Trump, the rumors started, and #WhereIsTrump started to trend on social media.

This led to some rather sick fantasies being verbalized, none more sickening than Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.

Sick man

Walz was appearing at a Labor Day picnic event when he said something I simply could not believe.

Clearly pointing to the rumors about Trump’s death, he stated, “You get up in the morning and you doom scroll through things and although I will say this, you woke up the last few days thinking there might be news.

“Just saying, just saying. There will be news sometime, just so you know. There will be news.”

That is abhorrent, and I still cannot believe he said it, but I should know better. It is far from the first time Walz had said something along those lines, as he also stepped over the line around the time of the assassination attempts against Trump, not to mention his sick Nazi references.

Taking it all in stride

Trump took it all in pretty good spirits when he was asked about the death rumors by Fox News’ Peter Doocy. Trump told him, “I didn’t do anything for two days, and they said ‘there must be something wrong with him.’”

He continued, “I was very active over the weekend. I went out to visit some people at the club that I own pretty nearby on the Potomac River. No — I’ve been very active, actually.”

Then he took a jab at Biden, stating, "You wouldn’t see [Biden] and nobody ever said there was ever anything wrong with him. And we know he wasn’t in the greatest of shape.”

This is how the media works, though. Biden would hide for days, and nobody ever said a word, and he did it just about every weekend. Trump, who has not taken a break since taking office, takes a 24-hour breather, and Dems are calling for the 25th Amendment to remove him from office. That, my friends, is the dishonest world in which we live today.
