Vance fires back at Biden after critical comments of the administration
Joe Biden finally crawled out from under his rock this week, making an appearance on “The View,” as well as an interview with the BBC, where he proceeded to trash the Trump administration and the ladies on the panel gushed over him as though he was the greatest president in the history of the country.
Vice President JD Vance just had a little something to say about that.
Biden Goes on the Attack
Before I get into him ripping Trump, I have to mention the comment made by Biden about leaving the race earlier so Harris would have had more time. Biden proceeded to rip the country, insinuating that the people who did not vote for her are racist and sexist, so there’s that.
When Biden was asked about Trump’s foreign policy, including his quest to make Greenland a territory, he responded, “What the hell’s going on here? What president ever talks like that? That’s not who we are. We’re about freedom, democracy, opportunity, not about confiscation.”
He then ripped Trump on his negotiations with Russia and Ukraine, saying, “It is modern-day appeasement.” Biden later added that he thought the meeting with Trump and Zelensky that blew up on live TV was “beneath America.” I, on the other hand, thought it was the wake-up call that Zelensky needed to remind him he has no leverage to use against the United States.
Biden then stated that Trump was not acting like a Republican president, whatever that means, stating, “I think the Republican Party is waking up to what Trump is about.”
The Book Deal
Biden has not reviewed the slew of speaking engagements most presidents see after they leave office to line their pockets, so Biden is getting his name back out there for one reason and one reason only.
Rumors are flying that there is a possible $30 million book deal on the table for Joe and Jill Biden, but it is far from being completed.
The deal reportedly hinges more on Jill than it does Joe, as publishers are likely to want her to discuss Biden’s mental decline, which she will never do, or go after Biden’s allies who forced him out of the race and are now spilling their guts in tell-all books about Biden’s last year in the administration and his mental decline.
According to the report, they are looking to make a big score that would enable them to help Hunter dig himself out of a $15 million hole as well as add few million to their bank account, so stay tuned on that front.
Vance Speaks Out
After the Biden comments were aired, Vice President JD Vance took a return shot at Biden.
He stated, "I think it's rich for Joe Biden to comment on anything that we’re doing when it comes to Russia and Ukraine. Under Biden’s administration, Russia launched the full-scale invasion of Ukraine… I wish Joe Biden the best. I don't really care what he has to say about American foreign policy because so much of what he actually did was a total disaster."
He also commented on the current state of the peace talks, stating, "We obviously want Ukraine to remain a sovereign country. We knew that the Russians' first offer would be too much. We knew that they would ask for more than was reasonable to give. That's how negotiations often work. I'm not bothered by that. What would bother me is if we conclude that the Russians are not engaging in the negotiation in good faith. And if that happens, yeah, we're [going to] walk away.”
Vance has just as much as Trump riding on this, as he is currently the frontrunner for the 2028 GOP nomination. If Trump has a bad term, Vance’s chances of becoming president get flushed and it reopens the door for Ron DeSantis to take the reins of the party.
