Woman Killed as Police Respond to Bomb Threat at GOP Home
Ever since the election has been over, there have been reports of bomb threats against Trump nominees and members of Congress.
One of those threats was at the home of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), which, sadly, resulted in the death of a woman while police were responding.
Threats Incoming
Immediately after Trump won, the threats started to fly against Trump and his nominees. If you were attached to Trump, you were at risk.
Several days later, Democrats claimed they were getting threats as well, which ranged from assault to bombs to swatting.
Rep. Greene was among those targeted, saying that local police in Rome, GA, had to send a bomb unit to her home after a threat was made. Greene stated, “The Rome Police Department’s Assistant Chief of Police received an email containing a bomb threat directed towards me. I’m so grateful to every member of the Rome Police Department for your swift and professional response in ensuring my safety.”
Her account was confirmed by the local police, as well as the investigation being turned over to the FBI after it found that Greene was in no immediate danger.
Collateral Damage
We hear Democrats talk about collateral damage all the time when discussing Israel’s war with Hamas, but they are silent about the collateral damage caused when a leftist loony tune decides to make a bomb threat.
What was not reported initially in the Greene report was that an officer responding to the call had a collision with another vehicle, with that woman reportedly dying in the collision.
Greene, after the accident was reported, posted, “I’m heartsick right now. I was just informed that an innocent woman died today in an auto accident involving a member of the Rome Police bomb squad who was responding to the threat at my home.
“My prayers are with Tammie Pickelsimer, her family, the officer who was injured, and the entire Rome Police Department.”
Just Getting Warmed Up
When Trump was announced as the winner of the election, I think most of us were expecting violence in our streets, but it never came.
Capitol Police, however, are not standing down, having gone on alert for the possibility of excessive violence in the aftermath of the election.
Capitol Police have already announced that an activist group "with a history of large-scale demonstrations involving illegal activity plans to protest the Inauguration regardless of the outcome."
I believe we are seeing the calm before the storm, as I am expecting major protests and violence on inauguration day to protest Trump winning the White House. I would love to be wrong about this, but this quiet is actually eerie, and I just don’t see it holding up much longer. If, somehow, I am wrong, then I believe we just may have a shot at getting back to normalcy. Again, I would love to be wrong about this, but I see lot of “mostly peaceful protests” in our immediate future.
