Hunter Biden Special Counsel Report Expected to Be Released Next Week

Attorney General Merrick Garland has been a busy man the last few days.

After creating a buzz by saying he would release the Donald Trump Special Counsel report, it was then announced that the special counsel report on Hunter could be released next week as well.

Should the Report Be Released

I know some may call me a hypocrite for what I am about to say, but I truly think the Trump and Biden situations are apples and oranges here.

I spoke out against the release of the Trump report because there were many other factors in that case. For instance, Trump’s charges were dismissed without prejudice, so he may have to face these charges again and the report could taint possible jurors in the future.

Second, there are co-defendants to consider in these cases, and could also suffer harm when this report is released.

Hunter, on the other hand, was tried and found guilty in one case, and he pleaded guilty in the other case. The fact that his father pardoned him is irrelevant, at least in my eyes, in terms of releasing the report.

It's Coming Out

It was announced this week that Special Counsel David Weiss is likely to release his report on Hunter Biden next week.

Hunter was found guilty on gun charges, and he pleaded guilty to tax evasion.

Had Joe Biden not pardoned Hunter, he stood to do 17 years in prison, but as we all know, Joe did pardon Hunter, so he gets to walk away scot-free.

For the most part, the DOJ has shielded Hunter in this case while the White House claims Hunter was targeted because of Republicans. I think when people see this report, that narrative goes out the window.

The Pardon

For years, Joe Biden swore that he was not going to pardon his son, then Hunter was found guilty. When Hunter pleaded guilty in the second case, you could smell something was fishy.

Then Joe Biden finally did what we all knew he was likely to do... he pardoned Hunter, stating, "From the day I took office, I said I would not interfere with the Justice Department’s decision-making, and I kept my word even as I have watched my son being selectively, and unfairly, prosecuted.

"There has been an effort to break Hunter — who has been five and a half years sober, even in the face of unrelenting attacks and selective prosecution. In trying to break Hunter, they’ve tried to break me — and there’s no reason to believe it will stop here. Enough is enough."

I admitted at the time, I did not understand why Joe Biden did this because Trump sounded like he was going to pardon Hunter. But I guess Joe did not want to take the chance, so he bailed his son out and protected himself in the process. He also proved to the American people, once again, that he is a stone-cold liar.
