Schumer Reveals Private Conversations with Biden to Drop Out of Race
With about four months to go in the election cycle, Joe Biden had crashed in polling, and Democrats started to put pressure on him to drop out.
We have all known that Pelosi was a major player in this, but now Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) is revealing that he was also applying pressure on Biden to drop out.
Crashing in Polling
Joe Biden won the primary election for the Democrat Party, yet when he crashed in polling, Democrats started to panic and wanted to make the unprecedented move of removing a candidate who had been chosen by the American people to place someone else into the race.
Biden was just not losing at this point, but he was impacting down-ballot elections as well, and this terrified Democrats. Even if they lost the White House, they could not afford to lose down-ballot positions, so they pressured Biden, and he eventually caved.
Biden posted his letter on X, writing, “It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your President. And while it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.”
He also immediately endorsed Harris to take over, writing, “Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump.”
Applying Pressure
We all knew that Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was leading the charge to have Biden removed, even though she would deny this to the camera.
Well, Jill Biden did not hold back in the final days of the Biden administration, openly calling out Pelosi for her role in having Joe removed. For instance, on MSNBC, Pelosi had stated, “It’s up to the president to decide if he is going to run. We’re all encouraging him to make that decision because time is running short.”
Jill did not take the pressure very well, recently stating, “We were friends for 50 years. It was disappointing.”
This led to Nancy Pelosi’s daughter, Alexandra, to clap back at Jill Biden, responding, "If I was Lady McBiden, I’d put on my big girl pants, play the long game and think about my husband’s legacy. There aren’t that many people left in America who have something nice to say about Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi is one of them."
Schumer Reveals Biden Conversations
Joe Biden was recently asked if he still thought he could have won, and he responded, "It's presumptuous to say that, but I think yes," but that is a complete and utter lie, or Joe is just living in dreamland. Reports surfaced last week that internal polling only gave Biden a 5% chance of winning, which his why Senator Schumer was among those pressuring Biden to step down.
This week, private conversations between Schumer and Biden were revealed. In one instance, Schumer told Biden, “If you run and you lose to Trump, and we lose the Senate, and we don’t get back the House, that 50 years of amazing, beautiful work goes out the window. But worse — you go down in American history as one of the darkest figures.”
After the debate, while Schumer was privately pushing Biden and publicly supporting him, he was telling donors to chill on criticism of Biden, stating, "Do not be public. That will get his back up, and you’ve got to let the dust settle. But if you can, call whoever you know in the campaign. Call the White House."
In essence, this was an organized coup against an elected presidential candidate. I continue to say this should have been fought on the constitutionality of a candidate being chosen by the party rather than by the people. Even though we won, this sets a dangerous precedent for future elections where the people’s vote literally means nothing if polling goes south. Not only that, it just proves that Democrat leadership was openly lying to the American people, touting Biden as being fine while fighting behind the scenes to have him removed.
