Kristi Noem says she found leaks regarding botched ICE raid
Earlier this year, ICE conducted a massive raid in Aurora, CO, which was supposed to net more than 100 arrests.
ICE ended up apprehending one person, which Trump Border Czar Tom Homan blamed on a possible leak.
Gangs Take Over
During the summer of 2024, disturbing videos surfaced of Venezuelan gang members having taken over an apartment complex.
They were reportedly threatening and harassing residents.
In one of the surveillance videos, a gang member was seen carrying a rifle, and according to reports, it was the same rifle that was used about 10 minutes later in a fatal shooting just outside the complex.
This became a major topic of discussion during the presidential election, which led to Democrats denying there was any problem, but that narrative was destroyed by video and testimony of residents in the area.
The Raid
When ICE set up the raid, as we stated above, the agency was expecting to make more than 100 arrests, but the raid, for all intents and purposes, was a complete bust.
After the raid, Homan blamed a leak for having tipped off gang members so they could avoid the ICE agents headed their way. On the leak, Homan stated, "We think it’s coming from inside. And we know the first leak in Aurora is under current investigation. We think we’ve identified that person.”
He later added, "It’s just not giving the bad guys a heads-up so they can escape apprehension. You’re putting officers' lives at risk. It’s only a matter of time before we walk into a place where there’s going to be a bad guy [who] doesn’t care. He’s going to be sitting in wait to ambush an officer. This is not a game."
After being confirmed, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem vowed to track down the leak, and it would now appear she has done just that.
I Got Them
Noem appeared on “Hannity” this week, and informed the country that the leakers have been found and have been terminated. When Hannity asked her if she had made any progress, she responded, “I have found some leakers. We are continuing to get more. They will be fired.
“There will be consequences and remember, when they leak information to the press in order to blow one up, they are putting law enforcement lives in jeopardy. They are risking their lives and putting families in the position where they have to live without those individuals any further. So you bet, we have used every tactic that we have, If you remember, we talked just last week about how I’m using polygraphs to go after and to really interview these folks.
“Because we are a national security agency, I have that tool I can use, also looking at their emails, looking at their communications, and it’s amazing how these bureaucrats who have an agenda to stop the work that we’re doing to bring safety to America, how they will sell each other down the river if it’s just to protect themselves.”
To me, they should not only be fired but also prosecuted for having leaked this information and possibly putting the lives of agents at risk. We are lucky these gang members decided to skip town or hide rather than setting up an ambush. These people need to have an example made of them so this type of nonsense never happens again.
