‘Nonprofit’ migrant housing company got $3 billion in grants, raised salaries
I think it is a safe assumption that most people reading this report believe that government spending is not only corrupt but out of control.
Your thoughts are not going to get any better after reading this report, which shows that a “nonprofit” during the Biden administration was given $3 billion in grants and jacked up executive salaries by 139% before Donald Trump ended the program.
Corrupt Democrat
Before I get into that mess, let’s talk a little about Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.).
This is a man who preaches about GOP corruption whenever a microphone gets stuck into his face, yet this is the same man who was voting on legislation that wound up funneling money to his wife’s organization.
Sandra Whitehouse’s non-profit environmental group was receiving significant grants from the government, legislation in which Whitehouse did not sit out, which appears to be a clear conflict of interest.
Senator James Lankford (R-OK) has since filed an ethics complaint against Whitehouse, and that matter is still pending, but it does go to show how everyone seems to have their hands in our pockets to enrich family and friends.
Give Yourself a Raise
Southwest Key Programs was a nonprofit working with the Biden administration to secure housing for all those wonderful illegal immigrants Biden allowed into the country.
The organization received about $3 billion in grants, but that is not the worst of it.
To see $3 billion go to housing costs of people who should not even be here is bad enough, but then realize that the executives that worked for the company also received a pay raise of nearly 140% while they were taking in all that government money. For example, the president and CEO of the company, Anselmo Villareal, was making $491,642 before the government money started to flow, but was paid more than $1.1 million in 2023. Thanks, Joe!
Insult to injury… the company has been hit with numerous allegations of the sexual abuse of children that were living in these facilities by Southwest Key staffers.
It’s a Trap
This was all part of the spending fiasco exposed by DOGE, including the USAID organization, which has Democrats all up in arms.
Well, most of them, as Democrat strategist David Axelrod is warning Democrats to stay away from this one, warning Dems they are walking into a “trap.” He explained, "My heart is with the people out on the street outside USAID, but my head tells me: ‘Man, Trump will be well satisfied to have this fight. ’When you talk about cuts, the first thing people say is: Cut foreign aid."
Former U.S. ambassador, Chicago mayor and Obama White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, added, "You don’t fight every fight. You don’t swing at every pitch. And my view is — while I care about the USAID as a former ambassador — that’s not the hill I’m going to die on.”
Do you know what this tells me? Both of these men have worked in Democrat administration, so I am sure they are very much up to snuff with what has happening at USAID. If that organization was not ripe with fraud and waste, there is no way they would be taking this position. All this tells me is that we have only peeled back a few layers on this smelly onion, and we need to dig much deeper.
