Trump calls out Putin after latest attack

Donald Trump is trying to get a peace deal in place between Ukraine and Russia, but he is finding it much more complicated than he ever thought when he was campaigning for president.

However, Russia just made that even more difficult with a deadly missile attack in Kyiv.

The Strike

During peace talks, it would make common sense not to go on any major offenses that could put the talks at risk.

However, that is exactly what Putin did this week against Ukraine.

Putin ordered a massive strike against Kyiv, with nine people reported dead so far, and dozens more injured, so the death toll is likely to go up.

Oksana Bilozir, a student injured in the attack, stated, “I honestly don’t even know how this will all end, it’s very scary. I only believe that if we can stop them on the battlefield, then that’s it. No diplomacy works here.”

Zelensky Won’t Stop

One of the problems this administration has had with Ukraine is that Zelensky keeps mouthing off in the media, which is making Trump’s job that much harder.

With the United States thinking it was close to a deal, Zelensky, rather than voicing his objections to a proposal in private, ran to the media regarding the possibility of having to give up Ukraine’s claim to the Crimean Peninsula.

He told the media, “There’s nothing to talk about here. This is against our constitution.”

That drew the ire of Trump, who responded, “It’s inflammatory statements like Zelenskyy’s that makes it so difficult to settle this War.”

Trump Calls Out Putin

Zelensky is not the only one suffering the wrath of Trump now, as the president was also upset over the strike ordered by Putin.

Trump took to Truth Social, posting, "Vladimir, STOP! I am not happy with the Russian strikes on KYIV," he added. "Not necessary, and very bad timing."

Even so, Trump stated that he believes they are making progress and a deal could happen soon. He stated, "We'll see what happens. This next few days is going to be very important."

I still believe this will be over before the end of the summer. In reality, it has to be over so Trump can remove this bullet from the arsenal of Democrats. The media has already started to attack for not having the war over on day one as he promised, so you know Dems are going to follow that lead and come after him as well.
