AOC goes missing in her district while crime rates surge
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), a.k.a. AOC, has always been a polarizing figure since her first day in office.
While her constituents constantly complain about her, they keep pulling the handle for her, and no other Democrat has been able to primary her successfully, but perhaps that will change as her district sees massive increases in crime.
The red light district
We have a very serious problem in this country: voters going to the polls without actually learning anything about the candidate for whom they are voting. They see the familiar name and the D or the R, and they pull the handle.
I believe this is partly to blame for why AOC continues to win elections, while at the same time we see her constituents complaining about her and the lack of effort she puts forth in her district.
To that point, I want to go back to a report that surfaced in December 2024, with Ramon Ramirez Baez announcing he was done with AOC after having helped her win her first election.
He stated, "We never saw that lady, never, she disappeared. She [didn’t] do anything for the community, nothing, nothing. She disappeared from my community. You never saw Alexandria in my community, nobody saw her in her office. All the time, closed.”
Touring with Bernie
AOC has always been more concerned with her personal profile than she is with helping her constituents, as was made apparent during her recent “Fighting Oligarchy” tour with Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT).
Sanders has lured AOC into his little socialism club, and she is clearly the heir apparent after Bernie steps aside.
So, when AOC had the opportunity to go back to New York to address the needs of her constituents, she instead traveled via private jet to whip people up about billionaire donors working with the Republican Party.
The irony, of course, is that the Democrat Party is far more entrenched in the Oligarchy than Republicans.
Crime surging
While AOC is defending illegal immigrants and fighting oligarchy, the crime rate in her district is going through the roof.
According to a recent report, the crime rate in her Bronx and Queens district has risen 70% since AOC has been in office. The worst of these was the 110th precinct, which is the red light district where a lot of drug dealing and prostitution is taking place.
Elmhurst resident Guadelupe Alvarez, a former AOC supporter, stated, “She’s not doing sh**. She doesn’t live in the neighborhood, she doesn’t care.” Other residents stated it has gotten so bad, they are afraid to leave their homes.
Yet, she wins in a landslide every time she comes back up for re-election, and now there is talk of running her out there in the presidential election. The election has turned into a popularity contest because it is surely is no longer about doing the actual job.
