Dems rage after Nadler aide arrested by DHS

Last week, protests erupted outside a courtroom, and according to reports, a Nadler staffer invited some of the protesters into Nadler’s office.

After DHS showed up and locked an aide up for harboring rioters, Democrats, including Nadler, went ballistic.

Detained

Things got a bit dicey outside of a New York City courthouse last week, and when officers threatened to lock some people up, an aide to Nadler reportedly offered them shelter in his office.

The DHS learned that protesters were allegedly hiding in Nadler’s office, so Federal Protective Service officers showed up and took the aide in question into custody.

A DHS spokesperson explained, “Based on earlier incidents in a nearby facility, FPS officers were concerned about the safety of the federal employees in the office and went to the location to ensure the safety and well-being of those present.”

Needless to say, this sent Democrats into another universe.

Nadler objects

As word of the arrest started to travel, a spokesperson stated, "Officers identified themselves and explained their intent to conduct a security check, however, one individual became verbally confrontational and physically blocked access to the office.

“The officers then detained the individual in the hallway for the purpose of completing the security check. All were released without further incident."

Nadler responded, "President Trump and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) are sowing chaos in our communities, using intimidation tactics against both citizens and non-citizens in a reckless and dangerous manner.

"The decision to enter a Congressional office and detain a staff member demonstrates a deeply troubling disregard for proper legal boundaries. If this can happen in a Member of Congress's office, it can happen to anyone–and it is happening."

Dems outraged

I love the fact that Nadler thinks just because someone works for him, that person is above the law. Yet, he was front and center when members of his party arrested Trump.

Nadler was far from the only Democrat who was outraged, with Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) stating, “I think the administration is clearly trying to intimidate Democrats, in the same way that they’re trying to intimidate the country.”

New York Governor Kathy Hochul (D) added, “Unbelievable. Unbelievable, that’s my reaction to it.”

A judge obstructs the arrest of an illegal immigrant, and the GOP gets roasted for holding her accountable. A Democrat aide tries to hide a rioter, then Dems get upset when that person is held accountable. For a party that has been preaching nobody is above the law, they sure do seem to think they are above the law.
